Yan Hair

I have been using yans for a few years now, as I can always depend on chantelle to colour and style my hair beautifully. my work colleagues and friends, family have commented how they like the colour/cut.
I always enjoy the head massage and massage chair.
the staff are always polite and courteous. drinks and reading materials are always offered.
I would and do recommend yans.

Hi I have had my hair coloured With you 4 times and come in very regularly to by aveda products.
On the last 3 occasions I was charged the same price for the same amount of work but when I had my hair coloured on Monday, I was going to be charged £75 instead of my usual £35.
In my consultation I made it very clear that I wanted exactly what amber did the last time I came in because I loved it so much. The stylist had a copy of what Amber had done in her hand so it should of been clear what was required.
Upon paying I was asked to pay £75. I was shocked at this and was initially told that you had a price increase. I don't mind price increases but over 100%?
I was then told that you've had a new system put in and Amber had not charged me for certain services that you provided on Monday, if this is the case then how come my bill was vertually the same on 3 seperate occasions? That's not a one off mistake.
In the end you charged me £61.50 and told me you were not going to cha

Wonderful day at Yan's today. Had a half of head of highlights and a cut and blow dry. I was treated like a queen. The entire staff couldn't have been more attentive, kind and professional.

Great colouring and cut from Liss as always. She listens really well to what you want and takes a lot of care. She is a really talented hairdresser and I am always happy with her service. Really relaxed place to be.

Couldn't ask for better service - everyone is friendly and go out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable. Claire offered suggestions for what I could do with my hair and it looks great! Also I love the back massage in the chairs where you get your hair washed

My stylist was friendly and lovely to chat to, at first I was happy with my hair but the more I looked at it after I got home the more I realised it was definitely not worth the 111 pounds I paid as it did not look like what I asked for and my friends said they couldn't even tell a difference in the colour of my hair, which is not what you expect to hear after spending that much money. Great service and atmosphere though.

Just back from my first visit and am sooo sooo happy.. Mihaela is so lovely and listened to everything i asked for..Gorgeous girl with a super friendly manner and very professional..in fact ALL the staff are lovely and very attentive, can't fault anyone..and that was the best head massage i've ever had..and the young lad comes from my neighbourhood too..i've now found my hairdresser for the future.. thankyou all so much Dee :)

Love having my hair cut by Rob at Yan. A good haircut, unlike a one-off purchase of clothes or shoes makese happy every day.

It was time for a trim and I managed to get booked in with Danielle which I love as she always knows how to cut my weighty hair just right, finishing it with some lovely loose curls! As usual a great service :)

Was my first time visiting Yan, the staff was very friendly and nice. Very professional 11/10 :)

I went in for a cut and full head colour with some highlights. I have a lot of gray hair and was told by the advanced stylist that they would be covered no problem. I spent 5 hours there and 2 colour sessions later, I still left with gray hairs on show. I was told to have another skin test and have my hair coloured the third time! I

With my hair being so dry already this was not an option for me. Very sad and upset I left the salon long after everyone had gone with emptied pockets for something I was very unhappy with.

My friend told me about Yan and I made an appointment, the staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so warm! The hair washing chairs had back massagers and I also got a wonderful head massage from Emily :) my hairdresser, Jess, was second to none! She talked me through all the plans and gave excellent advice - the cut and blow dry is beautiful! Already booked my next appointment!

As Always, today's visit left me feeling relaxed and very well looked after. Quite simply, each of the staff do everything they can to make you feel as comfortable and welcome as possible, which is why I have continued to remain a loyal customer for the last 17 years. Today's hand massage (from Michaela) was an absolute treat and was a great start to my visit. But, without question, it is Claire's skill in making my hair look exactly how I want it to look, her attention to detail and her incredible customer service that means I always leave happy. And, I couldn't leave a review without mentioning the absolutely fabulous Kate who always offers a welcoming smile and ensures that I've had a positive experience.

Jess has been cutting my hair for a few years now and each time she is professional, attentive and enthusiastic as ever ! i always look forward to visiting the salon as a bit of relaxation during a busy week and the tea was made to perfection . I can highly recommend a visit to this unpretentious, unhurried , friendly salon .

As always had a great experience at Yan Hair. The shampoo was very relaxing by a young gentleman whose name I missed. But he did a great job and was very friendly. The cut with Jess was excellent. She always gives good advice and recommendations and as always I left the salon loving my hair and looking forward to next appointment.

All I can say is that it was perfect!

This was my first visit to a salon in a long time and I felt very nervous walking through the door. However, I needn't have worried as from the first few seconds of being inside, I was made to feel very welcome and my nerves soon disappeared. I loved the massaging chairs and the head massage whilst being shampooed! The stylist, Chantelle, was lovely and gave great advice. The cut was fabulous and I am really happy with the whole experience. So happy that I booked my next appointment before leaving! Can't recommend the salon enough, very good value for money. I'm very happy with my colour, cut and blow dry. Both staff who looked after me were friendly and helpful.

I saw Nicole today. She was professional and friendly. All I had done was a trim and finish, she did it exceptionally well.
She took enough off the ends to tidy up but not too much - a difficult balance achieved! Always love the massage with the wash!

Today, I had a ladies cut&blow by Jess. She was friendly and professional, and gave me a cut very similar to what I envisaged.
The initial hair wash was on their back-massage chairs - very relaxing. The head massage given whilst conditioner is worked-in was of a good pressure and enhanced the experience.
I received a complementary hand massage, whilst having my hair cut - a lovely free treat.
Also, the complementary coffee tastes delicious and of good quality.

I have been coming to Yan Hair for nearly 7 years now. I have never had a bad experience, and would highly recommend their services. Having moved from Leicester to Nottingham this year, I still drive down to them for a cut - It's worth it!

I had my haircut with Yasmine. She made me feel at ease and done exactly what I wanted.I walked out feeling almost as new. The only downside to the whole experience was having my hair washed by Tom I believe that was apprentice name. Very rough- even after I told him to soften his pressure- im sure he pulled few of my hair that had no intention of falling out yet:/

Yan greeted me on arrival and immediately put me at ease. He listened to my needs and thoughts about my hair and heard me and offered solutions. My wash was lovely - really well done with lots of checks on how I was feeling without sounding scripted, and thanks for the hand massage Tom.

I love my cut. Yan to time and care and explained everything he was doing. I think it looks great.
