About us

THE GROVE EXPERIENCE is an independent, luxury hair salon, offering a wide range of bespoke services for Guests.

Founded by myself (Gary) and my wife, Giovanna, we opened the salon back in 2009. What was previously a book store we transformed into our Grove Experience. We are constantly striving to offer something a little different for our guests. My wife & I each have over 30 years experience in the hair industry. Our aim was to provide a unique service which would set us apart from other salons.

I visited the salon in Eastbourne after recently moving to the area. I was really not sure which salon to use as there are, as you know so many in town. I decided to use the excellent online booking system and give it a try.

I could not have chosen a more friendly, kind and welcoming salon. My stylist (Emma) was extremely kind, professional and made me feel so welcome. I used to have my haircut in London due to working up there full time and I have to say that Emma is certainly as good if not better than the stylist I used to visit.

I love having my haircut and find it so relaxing as my job is quite stressful. I am happy to say that I will be returning to the salon in August and looking forward to The Grove Experience again!

I just feel that in the world we live in today, praise is very rarely given out and I would like to congratulate you on employing such a fantastic stylist.

I have been looking for a new hair dressers for a while and when I came in for the first time recently I was offered an appointment with Lindsay. I get nervous about coming into Salons but she made me feel so welcome. We chatted away and she did a fab job of my hair. The massage chairs when having my hair washed were amazing! Lindsay came across both professional and friendly and I hope to come back soon. Thank you.

Kiki listened to what I had to say about my hair and previous haircut from another salon. The cut is amazing and today I was able to wet my hair and scrunch dry it, took 2 minutes. Absolutely fab. Loved the massage chair and head massage as well.

My appointment was unfortunately booked separately ,,meaning my colour was booked at 15.30 but my cut and finish wasn’t booked until 18.00 !!!!! I wasn’t made aware of this until my colour was overdue to be washed off. Kimberley was very apologetic about this but it still was very annoying that I had to wait so long between procedures. ,, she said she hadn’t booked the appointment but I still wasn’t informed that this had happened when I first arrived. ..

Best haircut ever! Exactly what I wanted! It was a great experience throughout - from the minute I walked in and was welcomed, to the massage chair while getting my hair washed and my head massaged by Esme, the careful and precise cut supervised by Sally. THE GROVE EXPERIENCE is an independent, luxury hair salon, offering a wide range of bespoke services for Guests.

Founded by myself (Gary) and my wife, Giovanna, we opened the salon back in 2009. What was previously a book store we transformed into our Grove Experience. We are constantly striving to offer something a little different for our guests. My wife & I each have over 30 years experience in the hair industry. Our aim was to provide a unique service which would set us apart from other salons.
