About us

THE GROVE EXPERIENCE is an independent, luxury hair salon, offering a wide range of bespoke services for Guests.

Founded by myself (Gary) and my wife, Giovanna, we opened the salon back in 2009. What was previously a book store we transformed into our Grove Experience. We are constantly striving to offer something a little different for our guests. My wife & I each have over 30 years experience in the hair industry. Our aim was to provide a unique service which would set us apart from other salons.

Having grown a beard for a few months, it was time to have a wet shave at the Grove Experience and get back to being smooth faced again.

Kiki did an excellent job!! Having a wet shave in a salon with a cut throat razor requires a steady hand and a patient, gentle demeanour.

The whole experience was superb including the hot and cold face towels.

I cannot rate both Kiki and the salon highly enough. Lovely coffee as well.

I’ve been going to The Grove Experience for many years.. Staff are always friendly and ready to help get you settled in when you arrive. Although I’ve stayed with one particular person, I’ve had haircuts with other artists and have been very satisfied. The standard is high. Lindsay has cut and coloured my hair on the last three occasions that I’ve visited the salon and I’ve been thrilled with the results. The colour has been exactly what I’ve wanted and she really takes her time to get the cut and colour right, very professional. Also, her lovely personality always cheers me up and the whole experience is wonderfully relaxing.
I have never had anything but good experiences at this salon, over the last five years, their standards are very high and I could not recommend them enough.

For the length of time that I have been coming and seeing Kiki it's like going and meeting up with a friend. Kiki is very attentive to all your needs, and her knowledge of everything is remarkable. I would highly recommend Kiki to anyone. The salon is kept spotless at all times, and the loyalty scheme is just brilliant if you go 7 times you qualify for a free haircut, I don't know of any other salon doing this.

Taylor is very good at what she does did my hair exactly like I wanted it and my hair is still in good condition and I have had my hair done before and it never turns out the way I like. I'm so pleased with my hair had full works dark at top and blond at the bottom cut and blow dry they grove experience was amazing made sure I had a drink and biscuits and something to read. Excellent experience thank you Xx :)

I haven’t had a hair cut in ages so i booked an appointment after being recommend by friends. I was anxious to come in but the whole experience was very relaxing and the lady who did my hair was very lovely and understanding. I think she was called caitlyn and i had it done down stairs. The price was amazing, only £10 and left very happy :)

THE GROVE EXPERIENCE is an independent, luxury hair salon, offering a wide range of bespoke services for Guests.

Founded by myself (Gary) and my wife, Giovanna, we opened the salon back in 2009. What was previously a book store we transformed into our Grove Experience. We are constantly striving to offer something a little different for our guests. My wife & I each have over 30 years experience in the hair industry. Our aim was to provide a unique service which would set us apart from other salons.
