I had a haircut by cara in the academy session and she was wonderful; very careful and took her time so that she would get it perfect. Very pleased.
I also had a colour with Lauren which I was also very happy with - she listened to exactly what I wanted and double checked that I was sure I wanted to go much darker than what I usually have. She covered me up well so that she didn't get any colour on my clothes and even tied back her own blonde hair so she didn't get brown dye on it!
Overall very happy with the salon and will definitely be back. Also clean and tidy despite the girls being busy and the girls all clearly get on well - chatty yet professional. Thanks arcana xxx

I came to see Sarah for colour & cut. I'm so happy with my hair and everything about the salon I felt so comfortable while I was at Arcana. The staff were so friendly too!! I loved the massage chairs while having my colour washed off. I will definitely be returning and will be booking in for some beauty treatments as they sound amazing!

I wasn't too happy with my cut from here. The style didn't suit me and even fundamental basics like both sides being the same length weren't met. The salon itself isn't exactly sleek and modern in style and could do with a good dust. I won't be back.

Gone BRONDE - was going to do it myself but then read dreadful reviews from people who had done just that. Had a consultation with Sammie on Monday who really listened to what I was hoping to achieve and gave constructive advice to make sure that we understood each other.. I was evaluating several salons since highlights and root touch up would be a longterm commitment. Sammie inspired me with confidence and so I booked with her. Today was my appointment and the result is everything I hoped for. I may add a few more streaks but Sammie was spot on with her advice and I am happy to say that I have found my new hairdresser.

I really loved my visit to Arcana. Had a touch up of my roots done with a trim. My hair dresser , Sammie, was friendly and professional. Everything was done as I wanted and we finished on time . Would definitely recommend and visit again. In fact have already told all the people who are complimenting me on my hair !

Great salon, Love my stylist but this cut is just too layered and set my growth plan back about a year+ I now have a chin length Bob all the way round and a mullet! Straight or curly it feels a mess, roll on a growth spurt :-(

What a brilliant experience I had during my hair session with Steph, she listened to my many many questions & concerns about my very new short haircut, offered lots of advice & suggestions & did a brilliant cut that I love & can recreate myself at home! The salon had its usual happy, inviting & vibrant atmosphere & I won't hesitate to recommend to others for the future.
Yet again another good trip to Arcana, Sammie my stylist has done a great job really pleased with the cut and colour,my whole family come here and we're very happy, even better on a Monday with 25% off however disappointed Sammie not included in the offer for next year so will work out expensive ????

I've been going to Arcana for around 12 or 13 years now, and my entire family has our haircuts there. I have long curly hair and as such always ask for a senior stylist to cut my hair, as it can be hard to get it right. I asked the hairdresser to give me a trim, but to keep my layers. I asked her to take off as little as she can get away with - those exact words. I've lost about 5 inches off the length, and even more off the layers. My hair fell way below my bra strap, and now I can't even plait it, because the layers are so short. There's no graduation in the layers on the right side of my face, there's just a wedge, a huge step. I've been delaying posting this review because I've never left a bad review, least of all for Arcana, where I've always had a great experience up to now. But I am absolutely heartbroken with this hair cut. It's taken me years to get my hair the length I wanted, and she has literally taken over a year's growth off in one go. I hate it. I will score
Hi Pam, Im so so sorry that you have had such a disappointing visit, frankly I'm shocked that any of the team (particularly a senior stylist rather than a graduate) could have misinterpreted those instructions and taken a whopping 5" off when you asked for just a trim- upset that you left without us knowing that had happened, and even more disappointed that despite so many years of regular custom you didn't feel able to approach us directly regarding the situation- Im so sorry. Due to the apparent gap between your visit and the review I'm having trouble identifying your appointment, and therefore the stylist, to investigate this for you- would you be able to pop your details across in an email for me: [email protected] so that I can speak to all involved? In October Sammie from Arcana cut my hair into a bob. My hair was quite long before and I was looking for a new look. I wanted a long bob hairstyle as I didn'twant my my hair too short. We discussed the length and cut and I was very happy with the end result. Sammie was very friendly and professional throughout. She took her time when cutting my hair and made me feel valued. I will be visiting Arcana again :-)
