My first time to the salon today and it did not disappoint. I had a curly cut and Gemma has done an amazing job. Looking forward to seeing how my hair reacts when it settles, if you have curly hair this salon is a must for your cut

Shanelle was absolutely lovely as always! The girls never fail to make me feel totally comfortable and treated like a young lady in the salon! And as per usual, my hair cut and style was spot on :)

Hanna was my stylist, she was kind, listened and did exactly as I asked. I am someone who hates going to the hairdressers but she put me at ease, told me everything she was doing step by step. Just amazing

I couldn't book my appointment online because the website was glitchy and wouldn't let me make an account so I gave them a call. They offered to do a dry cut for me after they bleached my roots but when I got to the salon on the day they told me that they don't offer dry cuts at all. I decided since I'm here that I might as well pay the additional costs to have a wet cut instead since I felt like I was put on the spot, still wanted the bleach and I didn't want to waste their time.

They had (what appears to be) a trainee washed the bleach out of my hair. She used water that was way too hot for me and didn't entirely wash the shampoo out so a different staff member took over and washed my hair again. The trainee was then told to blast dry my hair but she accidentally hit me in the head with the hair dryer several times. I didn't say anything due to social anxiety but surely the trainee should have been monitored. Especially after witnessing them not washing my hair properly.

I said that my hair was fine and I was happy with it when they took me to the mirror because under their lighting it didn't look bad. However, when I went to work the next day and look into the bathroom mirror that had better lighting I notice my roots were brassy. They were like a light brown or very dark blond with some brassiness to them. The brassy tones are far too dark for me to just simply fix it with purple shampoo or toner at home so I will hitsto go over it again with bleach. I paid £115 for them to bleach my roots platinum or white blond (along with the wet cut) but I didn't get that and now I have to pay an additional £20-£30 to fix the problem myself at home since there are no other vegan salons in Swansea. I don't get it though because the bleach was on my hair for a total of thirty minutes and it was still not light enough to be neutralized by the toner so I'm guessing they used a really weak/low volume.

Went into the salon to have a new balayage as a model. The best customer service I’ve ever had. Everyone in the salon is so welcoming and friendly and they make you feel so comfortable. Hannah and Millie did my hair and it’ just perfect. I feel like a complete new person thanks to the girls. 100% will be going back and recommending to my friends and family

Had a wonderful cut and colour at It’s Science. Millie was great. Very welcoming and did a great job. My hair was coloured , styled and silky smooth. I felt very glamorous.
It was a hot day and I was offered plenty of drinks . I came away very happy and would gladly recommend to others. I will be back for my next cut in 6 weeks!

I went in to have a hair cut, I requested to have layers and feathers , first when she was done I couldn’t really see any layers so I request more hair to be taken off. After I’ve had my hair cut she also styled my hair so i couldn’t really see what was done exactly , they don’t have mirrors for customers to see back of their hair like most hair salon do and should. Also sitting in a dining table to have a hair cut is not a good idea, customers need to see what’s being done and when it’s done. Once I got home and washed my hair the next day, I realised my hair length is quite short and still there’s not much layers also feathers don’t even look like feathers both sides are very different , one side chunk of my hair was cut off so it’s very different to other side and it’s obvious, it doesn’t look like feathers at all, also feathers were not blended in, it’s looks out of place . £35 is too much for a rubbish hair cut. Anyone can cut straight and cut a fringe! I’m really disappointed with my experience with this hair salon, that was my first and definitely last! I’m so annoyed my hair is ruined and now I have to wait until it all grows long. They definitely need more experiences! What a waste of my money. Also if you don’t know how to cut certain hair styles be honest and tell customers instead of ruining their hair.

Advised to get highlights over a overall colour and couldn't be happier. Should look amazing for my wedding day.

This review is following my 2nd visit to the Salon. 1st time I had an all over colour and Gemma cut my hair. I've always home dyed my hair but it's got to a stage where the grey is more challenging. I've had hair coloured a couple of times in other salons but have been disappointed as always never quite covered all grey and faded quickly. I took a chance at Its Science and cant rate highly enough. Be prepared to be there a few hours but that reflects the care and attention given. Not a single strand of grey after the first colour and a lovely colour which hasn't really faded. The cut was perfect. Following regrowth I have recently been back for a root touch up and Shannelle recommended a toner through the length. Again didn't disappoint and every grey covered with a lovely shiny rich colour. I'm so pleased and can't praise highly enough. The salon has a friendly vibe - you sit at a large table - no mirror - which is surprisingly calming! Although there is the option of sitting in front of a mirror. The girls are very friendly and welcoming. The whole experience is different to any I've had previously and I can't recommend enough.

This was my first time visiting the salon with My request being... I really wanted to go/ feel blonder after several years of balayage. Well I honestly can not believe this is MY actual hair, it’s so blonde but feels healthy and shiny and even better than what I imagined! First time at the salon and I was there awhile and made to feel so welcome, a truly relaxed atmosphere whilst never scrimping on their professionalism! What a set up! What a salon! What a team! Thanks for making me really, really love my hair for the first time in years!

It’s Science provides a wonderful, friendly, inclusive environment. Meg has never felt comfortable going to the hairdressers or been able to find a style that they like. Gemma was extremely patient and professional and the end result was fantastic! I can’t recommend them enough!

Every time I get my hair done at it’s science they surpass all expectations. They always meet my needs in every way, and listen to what I want and give me exactly that. I’m not exaggerating when I say they’re the best salon I’ve ever been to, and definitely the best in Swansea. All of the stylists are very creative, but they won’t do anything with your hair that you don’t want.
Not to mention the environment is lovely. The decor is SO nice, the products are vegan, and there’s a really lively atmosphere.
I’ve been going to them for 2 years, and can’t thank them enough for always giving me amazing hair.
