I have been attending ‘its science’ for a couple of years & the transformation of the condition and overall look of my hair has never been better !! Fantastic warm relaxing experience at each appointment, I always look forward to booking in & not only having a hair makeover but the warm ambience of the salon - thank you ladies ?

I was really nervous about getting my hair cut at a proper salon for the first time but I was made to feel very at home and relaxed. I've never really been sure what to do with my curly hair but Gemma was really happy to talk me through my options and answer all my questions. I walked away absolutely loving my new hair and I love it even more every time I see it! Thank you so much!!

What a lush salon! Absolutely love the decor and vibes. I am always anxious getting my hair cut and I was going for something out of my comfort zone but Gemma reassured me it would suit me. And I absolutely love it! Had the best hair wash too (sorry I don’t remember that lady’s name) so relaxing. Also the little slabs the coffees are served on are hella cute… 10/10 would recommend.

Was my first time visiting the salon and i’ll definitely be back. Everyone was lovely and so friendly. The environment itself was clean and I loved the plants/flowers everywhere. It’s also such a positive experience not having to stare at yourself in a mirror during the appointment, it made me feel far more relaxed than normal. And can’t forget my hair - Shanelle did a wonderful job and I got exactly what I wanted, Thank you :)

After looking around locally for somewhere that specialises in naturally curly hair cuts I booked an appointment with Gemma. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease. The team were very friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. Gemma asked all about my hair and talked through my options and what she was going to do. I left the salon with amazing curls, the cut makes them look so much better plus tips on how to look after them. I have to say this is the best hairdresser I have ever been to. The whole experience was outstanding I was very impressed. I would recommend to anyone especially if you have naturally curly hair . Can't wait to go back for my next appointment.

Always get my haircut in London, been looking for a good place in Swansea and this place was perfect! Loved my colour, was very blonde and faded into my previous colour perfectly! Also the cut was just what I asked for! Definitely will be coming back, everyone was also very friendly!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first curly cut. Never worked with my curls before and everything was explained to me and worked around what I wanted. Have my second part of the consultation booked for a few weeks time and looking forward to seeing how it’s settled. Loved not having mirror in front… such a brilliant concept. Thought I’d be more nervous but just trusted Gemma to do what was right for my hair

I've had another lovely visit to the salon! I always feel welcome and I instantly relax once sat in the chair. The cut is always perfect for me. Having been lucky enough to have a hairdresser in the family, I have never previously had to go to a salon. I was anxious about going, as I’m not particularly interested in hair/beauty and found the prospect daunting.
It’s Science was just so welcoming and laid back, they really put me at ease immediately.
I was treated so well throughout- felt thoroughly pampered. The quality of all aspects of the service was first rate and I am delighted with the outcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending It’s Science to anyone.

Was a Treat for my fiancée. She came out beaming. The refreshments are beautifully presented and thoughtful with Oat milk options which is a must for her. Great chat from what I hear. Her feelings are she loves this Salon ?‍♀️

The entire salon experience is fantastic, from the decor and atmosphere to the staff and their amazing skills! Best haircut I've ever had and being a hairdresser myself, that's high standards. Gemma worked with my hairs curl and its been a dream ever since. As for colour, I simply go in and tell Gemma to do what she wants, I'm happy every time and my hairs never been in such good condition. Well worth the hour and a half drive!

What can I say.. as a regular client you would think it would be hard to remain impressed.. but that’s exactly what I am!
From the moment you step through the doors if feels pure luxury. Everyone is so friendly and positive. My waist-length-slightly-wavy-straggly hair is now shoulder-length-bouncy-wavy-happy hair ? I love it. Gemma was really knowledgable and helped me know what would work to revive my hair. She was friendly, and so were her whole team. I love the set up of getting your hair cut round a table with views of real plants and the hustle&bustle of the street outside rather than awkwardly staring at myself in a mirror for ages. I have always dreaded going to the hairdressers - I always felt out of place and awkward. But @itsscience.co.uk it was completely different. I will honestly look forward to coming back, and I never thought I’d say that ?⭐️

I visited It’s Science for the first time this week and loved it. Changing hairdressers feels like a big decision but I’m so glad I took the chance, the experience was lovely. Shanelle listened to what I wanted, took the time to ask questions and the end result was exactly what I’d imagined. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the salon itself is such a nice environment. Would totally recommend.

Rescued my dry over bleached hair , took time to inform me of the best options to make it look healthy and how to care for my hair until the next visit. Would thoroughly recommend It’s science to anyone.

My daughter and I had such a lovely time at the salon yesterday. Gemma made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we entered the door. My daughter loved her first curly cut with and is really looking forward to returning again.

Looking forward to going back for part two of my hair cut in a few weeks when Gemma will review how the cut is sitting and dry cut curl by curl to perfect my look.

I visited the salon for the 1st time today hoping for help with correcting my hair colour which had turned out blue. I immediately felt at home.. Such a friendly, down to earth atmosphere . ( felt like I was sitting at my kitchen table) Gemma took time to genuinely listen and go through the different options. She talked me through each stage making sure I knew what was happening . I basically felt safe in her hands and confident in her abilities and rightly so ,as I was so pleased with the result .Thank you? Gemma and team . I would definitely recommend.

I had a service with Gemma. Firstly, I should mention that I was completely anxiety ridden and a bag of nerves going to my appointment due to some bad experiences at other salons! From the moment I enquired on social media Gemma was there making sure I felt supported and heard! My appointment was amazing! The salon is just beautiful, the staff are all really friendly and fun and Gemma is amazing!! She really made me feel as ease and special! She listened when I was rambling due to my anxiety, she made me feel seen and listened too! I have a real mix of wavy/curly hair and I had no idea what it needed or if I even needed a curly cut so Gemma just gave me her advice and let me choose! I like to think I had a hybrid appointment. Somewhere between a normal cut and a curly cut! Either way it felt individual and tailored to me! I didn’t have much done but what Gemma did do was fantastic, she talked me through every step, showed me what the best and worst case was cutting length wise and I left feeling so much better about myself and my hair! I have finally found somewhere I can go and feel confident that I will get amazing service!

I always look forward to getting my hair done at Its Science. I love the atmosphere in the salon and feel really comfortable through the whole process. My hair always looks fabulous and today was no exception, I love the result. Everyone is so friendly - I can’t recommend it enough.

I couldn't book my appointment online because the website was glitchy and wouldn't let me make an account so I gave them a call. They offered to do a dry cut for me after they bleached my roots but when I got to the salon on the day they told me that they don't offer dry cuts at all. I decided since I'm here that I might as well pay the additional costs to have a wet cut instead since I felt like I was put on the spot, still wanted the bleach and I didn't want to waste their time.

They had (what appears to be) a trainee washed the bleach out of my hair. She used water that was way too hot for me and didn't entirely wash the shampoo out so a different staff member took over and washed my hair again. The trainee was then told to blast dry my hair but she accidentally hit me in the head with the hair dryer several times. I didn't say anything due to social anxiety but surely the trainee should have been monitored. Especially after witnessing them not washing my hair properly.

I said that my hair was fine and I was happy with it when they took me to the mirror because under their lighting it didn't look bad. However, when I went to work the next day and look into the bathroom mirror that had better lighting I notice my roots were brassy. They were like a light brown or very dark blond with some brassiness to them. The brassy tones are far too dark for me to just simply fix it with purple shampoo or toner at home so I will hitsto go over it again with bleach. I paid £115 for them to bleach my roots platinum or white blond (along with the wet cut) but I didn't get that and now I have to pay an additional £20-£30 to fix the problem myself at home since there are no other vegan salons in Swansea. I don't get it though because the bleach was on my hair for a total of thirty minutes and it was still not light enough to be neutralized by the toner so I'm guessing they used a really weak/low volume.
