About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Stella is outstanding. She listens to what you want, will advise based on your hair the and translates it into a fantastic cut taking the time to make sure it is done exceptonally well. I would absolutely recommend Stella particularly to this with shorter hair which is her specialism.

It was my first appointment with this salon and throughly enjoyed the experience. I’m very happy with the haircut and think it’s definitely worth the slightly higher prices than other places may charge. The only improvement would’ve been if the offered teas and coffee!

Appalling. I was rushed and not listened to. I came into the salon with hair down to my shoulders and only wanting a trim. I left with hardly any hair at all. I mentioned I had a cows lick that I was self conscious about, so I didn't want the side of my hair cut. When drying my hair all pressure was put onto my cows lick, so it becane worse! I would never recommend.

From the moment you step through the salon doors in Newcastle you're made to feel welcome and at ease by all of the team. I'm always greeted graciously and most importantly, genuinely. I love having my hair washed while sat in a massaging chair and having a chat to whomever it is doing the honours that day. And I love the excellent lattes!
As for Tanya, she is an amazing stylist and woman! From my first visit, she knew just what I wanted and needed. My hair looks amazing (even if I do say so myself!). Tanya has helped to put the icing on the cake of a personal transformation and I can never thank her enough for it. She's a wonderful person who doesn't just care about my hair but takes a genuine interest in what's going on in my life. I look forward to our chats just as much as my new look! And I wish her and the whole team a wonderful Christmas and I can't wait to see them all again in the New Year xxx

As always Sam listened to me and really took the time to help me find the cut I wanted. She remembers my long term hair ‘goals’ and my hair quirks, which makes me feel really valued .i never feel like she’s just waiting to get me out of the seat and out through the door. Today was the first time I had my cut by Tim. When I arrived we discussed what I was after and he talked me through it all, making sure I was happy with everything as we went. He took his time and made suggestions about the cut and products that would benefit my hair type but without any pressure to buy anything. He was really easy to chat to and the cut and the blow dry were spot on! I’m really pleased with the result and will be booking in with him next time for sure!

Iv never been to a salon for over a year, as iv put weight on and feel like iv let myself go...due to medical issues! Absolutely love my hair cut... it was exactly what I wanted and Amy listened. I will definitely be back and I’ll be requesting Amy again. The only negative I could say is that I was offered a hair treatment, which I wanted but I wasn’t told it would cost £20 on top of my hair style. Even though it was worth it, luckily I had the money to pay. Never expected it to cost £70 in total. But like I say I am extremely happy with my cut and blow dry and the treatment but next time I’d like to be told the price of the treatment before I decide to have it because I may not of had enough money and that would of been very embarrassing. It was worth every penny! Thank you.

Fantastic service & colour from Caroline. I had a bad experience with my hair colour in a different salon in town a few months ago and she did her magic tricks! I am looking forward for my next treatment for a cut with Nick in a few weeks who in my opinion is the best in hair styling!
