About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Disappointed asked for the back and sides to be blended in and it’s not I almost have a step on the back of my head, could have paid 5.00 in a barbers and got the same result as oppose to 28.00, I wasn’t even on the system according to Sam, receptionist busy on her mobile when I walked in, wasn’t offered a drink until I was getting my hair washed, usually get my hair Cut off Tanya who always does a great job but left feeling dissatisfied today after in my opinion spending a lot of money for an uneven step that hasn’t been blended in on the back of my head.

I had a great experience. I was curious at first to see what I was paying for. I felt the atmosphere was pampering and it made me feel relaxed. I was surprised when I had my hair washed that the chair also had a back massage function, it was really nice. I got to consult with the hair stylist about my haircut and she gave me great tips on how to style my hair.

So close to perfect

Stylist was knowledgeable and very friendly. Willing to answer any questions i had.

One small issue i had was that when blow drying my hair, the stylist held the dryer so close to my scalp that it was burning hot and while it didnt cause any lasting damage, it did make that section of my hair appointment very uncomfortable.

But otherwise i enjoyed my appointment, and i will definatelycome back (and will remember to ask them to use a lower setting on the hairdryer before hand).

I get really nervous going to the hairdressers as I have “massive” hair. Matthew did a great job of putting me at ease and suggested the perfect style to suit my hair type. His blow dries are amazing and even managed to last in the cold damp weather. Three days later and my hair still looks freshly styled. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Matthew!
