About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Although my curls fell flat in few hours my hair stayed full, beautiful and shiny for 4 days. I didn't even need to use dry shampoo. Thanks Libby, you saved my trip ❤

Ps: the girl who washed my hair (I wish I remember her name) was amazing too. She took time to wash my hair and massage my scalp. This is the best time I get my hair washed at toni&guy.

The hair cut I got was amazing, it was a cut and blow dry ladies for £37.00 and the outcome was amazing. Alexandra was the person who cut my hair and she was great, she talked to me as well as kept a smile on her face and told me everything she was doing. At times I was uncertain about what I wanted a wavy finish or straight ? Square ends or angled ? But she was patient with me and if I couldn’t make up my mind she would give me more time to think about it or an alternative option such as “I will blow dry it straight and then you can make your mind up wether you want a straight finish or a wavy finish.”. The rest of the service was amazing and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the chair you sat on to get your hair washed was also a massage chair! Overall the service, value, result, cleanliness and atmosphere were all amazing and I would defiantly recommend going here.

Alex is an amazing stylist! Always makes me feel welcomed and comfortable. Always so happy with Alex cutting and styling my hair. Definitely believe that stylists should be paid more though considering how talented they are. I thought all the specific prices and money customers pay for a specific stylist goes to that one stylist. Shocked to know that it doesn't. If a stylist has done an amazing job, I believe they deserve to earn that set price the customer specifically pays for them.

Having a hair makeover is never an easy decision - at 42 I’ve decided to embrace my natural silver hairs with a modern short cut. Well, I couldn’t have asked for a better stylist. Libby is such a warm and friendly lady, she put me at total ease as she cut my hair and I’m super impressed with the result! Can’t praise Sam enough. She listens to me and is honest about what my hair will and won’t do. She is so knowledgeable and I always come away feeling 100% happy with my hair. The salon is clean and the staff are super friendly and encouraging.I would not dream of going anywhere else !

Not only did Caroline do an excellent job of colouring and highlighting my hair, but she told me how she was tweaking my usual colour and it looks great. We also had a very useful conversation about shampoo which is the first time that anyone has done that. I’m well pleased.
