Saks Hair Yarm

Always enjoy my visit to Saks. The team there are so professional and caring. Great hair cut by Amy P. So nice to escape the hustle and bustle for an hour or so with a visit to your salon.

Beth is amazing at what she does, fantastic stylist.

I arrive at the salon with lots in my head sometimes and with the weight of worries but I leave feeling so much better and fabulous hair cut too ! Staff are incredibly friendly , polite and caring and very professional . Would highly recommend

Very disappointed experience .This was my second visit ( I have been before to yarm and left it a few years before I went back again due to the same experience as this time). First experience was great, stylist was very attentive and apart from someone else washing hair she stayed throughout and the blow dry was lovely and lasted. This time felt very rushed, her attention was elsewhere. After putting my colour on she then went on to do someone else’s hair. I then had someone to wash my hair, which wasn’t very pleasant. She had to go and ask the hairdresser what toner she wanted on my hair ( lack of communication). IShe put the toner on my hair and I was just told you can sit up or lay backward “its up to you” and I was left there - no explanation as to how long.. After washing my hair she asked if I wanted a head massage to which I said yes, but it’s one of the worst I have ever had, she too was distracted and it felt like she didn’t want to be doing it. She then took me back to my seat and asked how I wanted it blow dried. I explained and she proceeded. She was so rough and it was not dried like I had had it previously. The original stylist came back at the very end and finished one last piece off. My hair was still damp (it frizzes as soon as you go outside when like this). It was just awful that I couldn’t wait to get out and then had to go home and style it again. When you are paying extortion prices you expect it to be done right. There was also no customer service in information of how to look after hair which has highlights in.

I've been going to Jane since 1990. She knows my hair better than I do. Over the years I have had silver beads, plaited braids, and ringlets for my wedding. I count her as a friend!

I have been a customer of Saks in Yarm for almost 18 years, having previously been a longtime customer of Saks, Newcastle. My stylist of 15 years recently moved on and I had to choose another one. All of the hairdressers at Saks are amazing, so it’s a hard choice, but Amy really understood how to make the most of my extremely thick hair, so that it’s easier for me to manage and gave me subtle highlights, that complement my fair hair. I’m very happy and felt that it was good value for money, considering I was in the salon for almost 3 hours.

I had my hair coloured and cut by Jenny, and she made the whole experience absolutely lovely. From the moment I sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. She took the time to understand what I wanted, made me feel completely at ease, and created such a relaxed atmosphere.

I got my hair done by Jenni and I am thrilled! She understood exactly what I wanted and managed to avoid damage from lots of bleach (I thought I would have to lose 5 inches) my husband said it’s the first time I’ve ever said I love my hair after getting it done and he’s right - never loved a new hair cut/colour as much as this.
