Sian cut my hair for the first time and listened to how I wanted it taking her time as I have had many failed cuts in the past. Did a great job I was really please & would 100% recommend

Sian made me feel really welcome and gave me the full salon experience. She instantly offered me a drink of choice and after asking what I wanted to do with my hair, she gave me advice of gradually lightening my hair to protect it from breaking. When washing my hair, I received a complimentary head massage which was very relaxing! Sian was friendly and chatty and explained each step she was doing to my hair. I was so happy with the end result! Will definitely recommend contemporary.

Stephen is a talented hairdresser, I’m always happy with the results, most importantly I feel confident Stephen will do a highly professional cut and give great advice on colour, I highly recommend him.

I have been a customer of contemporary Harrogate for over 10 years and for the majority of that time been looked after by Stephen! I get my hair cut every 5 weeks and the service & results are always outstanding. All the staff are so lovely and make you feel welcome and you can’t beat the complementary head massage. Would highly recommend contemporary hair salon to anyone and I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else!

Sian is amazing at her job always got a lovely smile on her face and always does exactly what I ask for . Her confidence and skills are growing all the time . One to watch in the hairdressing industry

Exceptional skill, creativity & inspiration. Never had a bad/ disappointing/ wrong cut from this guy in 10 years. He thinks a lot about not only what suits your face shape, but your personality & personal style. I love my Stephen-edgy-cuts! ❤? I also love the face, head, neck & shoulder massage & complementary drink - the whole experience. Its such a treat to take time out & come out feeling chilled, happy & looking good, thanks to a sharp cut x

Stephen is always welcoming and friendly, he spends a lot of time discussing options with me and creating a plan for my hair going forwards, not only for the cut etc but for day to day care, always taking my requests into account. I would really recommend him and the salon as a whole.

I first met Stephen 7 years ago and he soon became the creative genius behind my most daring of ideas. He is a brilliant stylist with great vision and most of all he is honest. Incredible at everything he does and genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met! If you want honesty, creativity, flare and personality then he's the guy!

Contemporary Harrogate, although i cant get there as much as I'd like after moving out of the area, has a great sense of welcoming and relaxation. The whole experience from the minute you walk in the door is fantastic!!

comfortable as he listens to what you want. He is an extremely good hair stylist, every time my cut is perfectly straight and looks fab. Best hairdresser!

I dont go anywhere else for a hair cut now all the staff here are friendly and always make you feel comfortable and relaxed. My stylist of choice is Stephen and he is amazing always gives advice if I want to change my style. And what I've seen he makes every customers experience exclusive to them which to me makes me feel valued as a customer I have recommended Stephen to many people and will continue to as I believe both Stephen and contemporary as a company deserve all the support they can get.

Love coming here! Always feel welcome and Gemma ALWAYS does exactly what I ask for. Most of the time I take her advice and she is never wrong. And not forgetting the lovely Sian!! What a gem! Any salon would be the better place for having this lovely lovely girl. She has a genuine caring nature and I always look forward to seeing her happy face.

I always enjoy my hair experience at Contemporary, because that's what it is - an experience.
The staff are always so friendly and chatty, and as an autistic person with anxiety, they somehow always manage to make me relaxed and pull me of whatever shell i'm in.
The service is great, going out of their way to ensure i'm comfortable, be it thirst, warmth, hunger or the pressure from their exsquisite massages.
I've had my hair done by several members of the team over the years, and I've never had any complaints and only good things to say. I selected Stephen as he was my most recent stylist. We had a great chat about potential styles for the future and he'd actually kept an image of a style we'd discussed a little while ago that i'd completely forgotten about! Bit of an extreme change though so i'm still saving for that, but i'll definately be back soon!

Chloe is an excellent hair stylist who has real flair. She has looked after my hair and also the hair of some of my friends for a long time. She listens and discusses what i want doing each time I visit and doesn’t make an automatic assumption that I will want the same cut as last time. Also, if she thinks something won’t look right she offers advice about why it may not look right (for example, be careful about having short layers at the front, medium layers will suit the style better or I think the fringe will suit you, cut just below the eyebrows).
She is a treasure?.

I’ve been going to Contemporary for over a year now and love this salon! You always receive a warm welcome and the service is so personal. Sian is excellent and does such an amazing job at colouring and cutting my hair. I’ve had quite a big hair transformation and Sian has helped me change my colour without damaging my hair and I love it. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you to all of you.
