I’ve been coming here for quite a few years and never had a bad experience. Chloe cuts my hair exactly how I like it and people I know comment on how good my hair looks. I always recommend Contemporary to anyone who needs a salon. Atmosphere is always good and everyone so friendly

It really was the most relaxing treat....of the week, if not month! Despite apparent ‘tap’difficulties & other stuff - nothing impinged on three gorgeous massages (Libby), Stephen’s total attention & brilliant cut & colour as usual - bliss! Thank you, fantastic team!

I've been messing Stephen & Contemporary around for ten years now; rebooking appointments, missing appointments and calling in for a haircut with no appointment. The team are only ever friendly and helpful, and continue to put up with me. Stephen understands his clients needs well; he is both experienced and talented in his work. He has suggested styles I hadn't considered, which shows he thinks about what is in fashion, but to add to this he understands his clients lives/professions, and works that into the styles he suggests. It's that difference in understanding his customers and applying his skills which makes him an excellent stylist.

I’ve been coming to see Gemma for a few years now and she is brilliant. She always takes the time to understand exactly what I’m looking to do with my hair and discuss it with me and offer advice. Everyone in the salon is really friendly and welcoming and I would 100% recommend!

Chloe is fantastic, friendly and welcoming, she always understands what I’m asking for and makes every visit enjoyable - plus she cuts my little boys hair which is no easy job!!!

Consistently great service from all involved from 1st massage to 2nd massage to end result! Gemma is Number 1 for me - highly skilled and I am very fortunate to have come across her.

He's been my hairdresser since I moved to the area. I canced upon this salon but since I've been with Stephen I wouldn't go elsewhere. He understands my exacting colour needs and the sharp haircut I need. He blends bartering skills and high end colour techniques to get my sometime unrealistic result. X

Walking into a hairdressers can be a bit daunting I think, but not here. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming at Contemporary. I’ve been going there for years and am very happy.

Being a new mum, I now can't always get my hair done as often as I like and Sian gets that. I don't ever feel pressured or feel as though I'm getting sold products or Extra services (as some salons are hard selling)

Sian always listens to what/how I would like my colours doing! Even my husband notices when I've had my hair done!!!!!

Stephen works magic with my hair! The colour always looks great and his attention to detail on the cut is spot on! I love the salon, everyone is really friendly.

Sian is always my go to for my hair- from blonde balayage, to chocolate brunette to fiery copper! She has got my colour perfect every single time. She always has a chat with me before hand, letting me know her plan and checking I’m 100% happy with it. She always shows me colour examples and explains the process of what she’s doing as she goes along. Her massages are amazing and relaxing and it’s one of the things that contributes to the amazing experience that I always have with her. There is nobody else I would trust with my hair she is a true asset to your salon! Thank you Sian!

I see Stephen every 4 weeks or so, he is fantastic - never any complaints with my haircut. I have very thick hair and in the past ive always left the salon feeling "it will be fine in a couple of weeks" - not with Stephen - always spot on & highly recommend

Great relaxing place staff excellent in every way people skills amazing welcoming relaxed and happy place to be and chatty if wanted to be they know there customers which means loads lots of drinks always offered fab salon ??

Super friendly environment with professional service.
Complimentary head, neck and shoulder massage makes you completely relax. The 2 complimentary drinks keep you refreshed throughout your visit and the friendly atmosphere makes you feel very welcome. I usually have Stephen or Chloe but all the stylists are super talented!

I have been trusting Stephen with my hair for many years. He is an amazing hairdresser who always takes the time and effort to listen to what you want and need. I always leave the salon feeling like a new woman. I would not go anywhere else. My 3 daughters all go to him too and are always happy with the results. My last visit I had a complete restyle after having my baby and I was a bit nervous about it but she really put me at ease and I was absolutely over the moon with it.
