If I could, I’d come here every week to get my hair ‘done’. Because I always leave feeling like a million dollars. Rona understands my tricky hair and how to cut it so that it keeps its style and looks natural. On the subject of natural, the colour is fabulous. My natural blonde is even more natural now! Everyone compliments me on my hair but really Rona should take all the credit.
It’s more than just a cut. All the staff are friendly; the service is excellent. I love the head massage – so relaxing. Endless teas and coffees. It feels more like dropping in on friends than going to a formal salon.
I am proud to tell people that Rona at William Charles salon ‘does’ my hair.

I'm so glad that I found William Charles after years of bad experiences with other hairdressers. I've lost count of the number of times that I've walked in feeling like a scruffy old drudge, and walked out feeling like a million dollars.

You get loads of thoughtful little extras here - back and neck massage, hand massage, hot stones and even a bit of lipstick, artfully applied before you leave.

Rona is amazing. She's taught me so much about how to treat and style my hair and it's never looked so good.

The best hairdressers I have been to! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair ... Joe has looked after my hair taking it from blonde to brown to dark brown and now to red over the years, and I have loved it every time! Always amazing cuts, fabulous colours and a great welcome from all the staff every single time you come in - I cannot recommend highly enough!

The experience was quite good. Wasn't expecting the massage which was nice and surprising, no other hairdressers offer this service - maybe they should!

Having just moved to the area and anxious that my first trip to a new Hairdresser should be as stress free as possible, I searched the Internet for a salon I thought I might trust.
I chose William Charles because it looked professional, the staff looked happy, personable and committed and the products they used were high quality.
I certainly was not disappointed-Ben chose the colour for me, styled it as I asked but with his own interpretation - I loved it!!

Definitely the nicest salon I've ever been to, all the staff are so friendly and always treat their clients professionally. I have been coming to William Charles for years and I will never go anywhere else to get my hair cut and colored. I normally hate going to the hairdressers but I totally trust them with my hair. Definitely recommend this great salon!

I had my hair cut on Monday and decided to go for a new look. I'm normally quite nervous when I have my hair cut as some stylists do not listen to what you want and do not take the time to go through how to manage your hair afterwards. Consequently I usually stick to a bob as I'm not confident enough to take the plunge with a short hair style! I was made to feel really comfortable by the staff and the atmosphere in the salon was really good. The salon is lovely and the products are good as I prefer more natural ingredients. Rona looked through styles with me on the IPad and we had an honest chat about short styles and how to mange them. I really am pleased with my new hair cut and one week on I can say that I've had no strops with trying to style it!

Another great perm by my super stylist Emily. She never fails me, and keeps my locks just how i like them. Attends to my every idea, thoughts or changes and steers me in the right direction every time. Products are awsome and salin is welcoming, service is efficient and nothing is ever too much trouble. William Charles Hair is definitely value for money. I won't go anywhere else!!

Found William Charles after moving to the area and deciding to try a non-Aveda salon for a while (after being withAveda for 10 years). So glad to be back with Aveda and at this salon. Emily has figured out my hair and colour criteria really quickly, and I feel utterly comfortable letting her do what she does best. I'm really picky about my colour, and she and Rhona have been brilliant. Won't be experimenting with other salons any more!

Great haircut by Rachel today accompanied by tea and coffee. Good atmosphere as usual and excellent value for money. Always made to feel welcome.

Emily did an amazing job today matching my foils to my hair extensions - the best time and blend I've ever had.
The skill and professional is is plain to see. The lovely girl who rinsed my colour and washed my hair was brilliant (no make up removal whilst having my hair washed!) - she really was very good.
Having foils removed at your chair is a blessing - why don't other salons do this?! Simple but effective.
Great atmosphere, music that you can hear, great salon.
Would highly recommend!!

Great service from the moment I walked in. A beautifully kept, airy salon and greeted warmly by all the staff there, a gentleman made me a cup of tea while I waited as I was early. My stylist that day, Rachel, was brilliant. She understood exactly what I was after and what my needs were,had loads of great advice, an a good manner too, putting me at ease straight away. Delighted with the results and as always impressed with the thorough knowledge all the stylists here have of their profession and products.

A great hair salon because they get the balance right to suit the customer. If you're in a hurry they'll be quick, if you want to sit back and enjoy the whole experience they'll pamper you. Very friendly, very can-do attitude. And my colour is the best it's ever been, also, being Aveda, I don't get an irritated scalp afterwards.

Joe's obvious colouring and cutting skills are So worth the 80 mile round trip I make to keep my difficult hair in great condition over the last two years..!
His attentiveness and admirable patience are great attributes for the ultimate professional who's going places, so go ahead and book him, you won't regret it!

That was friendly, relaxing, with enough coffee to send me to sleep and charming and experienced Emily to take me through my whole unique de-whitening journey which left me walking out on top of the world - also with beautifully massaged hands.

Cut and colour appointment, first time visiting this salon. Made to feel welcome and comfortable in the clean and spacious salon. My friendly stylist talked thru what I wanted with a photo of the finished cut I hoped for and so followed an initial rough cut before the colour went on. Unfortunately by the time I was done colouring my stylist was with another client and with only half an hour before closing I was passed over to another stylist who had not seen the finished haircut I wanted to dry my hair. At this point I expected to have the original stylist return to turn my rough cut into the sharp style I went in for but instead it seemed I was done! Only at my request did I get any final trimming up at all and it was all too obvious that the other client was now the priority and I felt ushered to settle up and depart. On reflection at home comparing the image I'd gone in with and my finished hair style I felt v disappointed that the two differed greatly and I can't help but feel let

I have been going to William Charles for years, and have never been disappointed. The staff listen to what you want, and my hair is in very good hands!

Good hairdressers are like good dentists - once you have found the perfect one youi don't look elsewhere. I have been cared for by Rona for the past 6 years and would not trust anyone else to touch my hair now. She instincitively knows what styles suit people, diplomatically steers people to the most attractive look and takes endless pains to ensure her clients' happiness. She spent ages creating exactly the right colour for me, and now I know that all I have to do is sit back and let her work her magic. Her staff are all well trained, the fact that they stay so long is testament to how happy the atmosphere is, and I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Coffee and tea are always on offer, hand and head massages are offered and I always leave feeling fabulous. No it's not the cheapest deal but you get what you pay for and this is well worth it. Fab Aveda products too.
