M Salon Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire

First time here and from walking in the door i found everyone to be really friendly. My hairdresser( apologies ive forgotten her name. Alziemers!) Lovely young girl with a dark pixie hair style was lovely very approachable and made me feel at ease. We went through what i wanted snd discussed products as im vegan. When finished the end product of my cut was amazing! She cut it beautifully! Prices are resonable too.Definitely reccommend to friends and i think ive found my hairdresser i will definately be a regular! Sll round good experience.

I was in M Salon with my mum one week ago and she is still very satisfied of the result. She doesn't speak English, so I translated everything for her and explained what kind of cut she wanted. They tried to make her feel comfortable and at ease. The staff was very kind and polite. If my mum comes again to England, she would like to have her hair cut in this lovely place. Thank you again for the experience!

First time visiting the salon today -honestly the best hair cut experience I have had in a long time. Everyone is so friendly, will deffinetly be going back.

Had a blow dry at 10:30 this morning and had it curled too. It’s already flattening at 14:30 despite the amount of hair spray used. She not only blow dried it straight and then curled it (whereas I would expect it to be curled as it was being blow dried and then curled) but I got charged £23 for it and then told that a cut and blow dry was on offer for £19. Very disappointing and won’t be returning.

Had my colour and cut done with Kev and Laura last week - as always I am delighted with my colour and style. All the staff at M salon are incredibly professional, polite and accommodating - they could not have been more helpful and facilitated my every wish with my new baby. It truly is pleasure to visit, they always go above and beyond for their clients!

A lovely experience as usual

I booked to have my hair put up as I was going to a wedding. My hair does have layers but my usual hair dresser left it long enough to put up as she knew I was attending a wedding. The young lady with whom I had the appointment unfortunately had no ideas as to how to do this. I suggested a simple chignon but was told my hair was too short. After 30 minutes of frustration for us both, I suggested a wash and blow dry. The adjoining stylist suggested how she would do it and the young lady did manage to put it up but it was not very neat. My daughter in law was next and asked for a plait around her crown and curls put into her long straight hair. Disappointingly, the curls had dropped by the time we had walked to the car park. On reflection, I should have spoken to a manager but I was getting more stressed as time went on. The young lady was very nice and was trying her best (which was why I left her a tip) but she did not have the experience and did not get support from other colleagues. After my experience I sadly could not recommend the salon and would not use it again.

Great friendly service getting my hair coloured this evening, good value except for the very very poor effort at drying my hair before I left. It's nice to leave with dry hair regardless of getting it cut but it's not included in the price here which was disappointing.

We all have our own lives; our own problems, issues, work, etc. When we go to the hairdressers, we want to forget about it all and just get our hair cut. Is that too much to ask for? According to ***, apparently not. She would not stop talking about herself and her life. Sorry, but I am not interested. Hair cut was fine but won't be returning.

Olivia was lovely and she did a really good job of my hair. Loved the head massage too! Thank you!!

Nice salon, friendly staff. Although the late deal was not with a more experienced stylist, I thought Olivia made a good job of my short cut and at a great price!

Years ago the juniors who rough dried my hair were competent and even made a rough dry look good in a perfect world I'd have a proper blow dry but I can't afford them but I always walked out of the salon looking good but lately the girls who wash my hair and dry it are just not as competent as before and it makes a difference however the colouring is as good as ever

All the staff are so kind, wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s a lovely atmosphere and is so hygienic! Trust them with my hair snd have never been disappointed with my cut!

Don’t get me wrong, i got to M to get my hair cut and Zoe is lovely! Always pleased. But I have been to get my hair coloured. I was blonde and wanted to go grey. So I have come out of there with my hair looking no different. It certainly doesn’t look grey. I am not very happy with the outcome at all.
I had a strand test before and the colour was so much different. I am more of an ash colour now. I’m going to have to be honest and say that I paid all that money for, what seems, just a hair wash.

I wouldn't get my hair cut any where else.

Had a wash and finish. Asked for a sleek, shiny, straight finish - walked out very embarrassed with fluffy, frizzy awful hair. Had to go home and don't own wash and finish. Waste of time and money.

Lovely friendly and professional salon, brilliant cut

First time using M Salons & I haven't had a cut in about 18 months. I was nervous putting trust in someone I'd never met but Lauren made me feel in safe hands and done an amazing job on my hair as I had a lot chopped off... definitely recommend this salon and Lauren herself.

As always a relaxing friendly and professional experience. Colour by Laura is great and my hair mojo restored. Cut by Kevin is excellent and I am so happy. Thank you guys
