Took Lauren's advise for change of hair colour and I absolutely love it. Fantastic! I feel and look fabulous and special thanks to the other young salon Lauren who looked after me washing drying massage etc wonderful afternoon spent at Avant Garde. Tea biscuits magazines etc

Once again , lovely cut by Jonny.

I've been to Avante Garde before and was very pleased but this time the service was dreadful. I booked a colour and cut. It started fine but then went downhill. There was no heat thingy to sit under as all in use. Well, this can't be helped but no I'm running 10 mins late. Then, I was informed whilst I was having my colour washed off that my stylist had only just started cutting someone else's hair and so would be running 10 mins late (so now I'm 20 mins late). Again, can't be helped, but I had to lay on that very uncomfortable basin with wet hair waiting. The hair washer asked if I wanted a head massage (we all look forward to that don't we?), then went off to wash someone else's hair and promptly forgot about my massage. I then got put in a chair downstairs, waiting again, with wet hair. My stylist arrived to tell me she needed the loo (again, can't be helped). 5 mins later, I was moved out of the chair by another stylist who needed to use a dryer next to it. I'm now sitting, with wet hair, by the window. I have a bad neck and I was freezing at this point!! The stylist took ages to come back. I estimate I was around 30-40 mins over my expected time to leave by now. She did do a lovely cut, however, I just didn't have time to have it straightened and had to do that myself at home. I appreciate that all these little things on their own can't necessarily be helped but all combined they led to a very poor customer experience. For the money I paid I was very disappointed and I doubt I'll return. Sorry Avante Garde but you do need to give your customers a bit more attention and care.

I do get frustrated with the rough dry! I do appreciate that it is a cost to blow dry and I am sure that some folk abuse this, but I have used the salon for many many years, I have very short hair and I would appreciate a brush being put through it for a quick rough dry, I leave the salon feeling like my hair is dreadful ( not the colour) and I rush home! Surely that’s not right! Thanks

Every time I visit I always have Jonny to do my hair and never once been disappointed, long may it continue, he is a credit to your company.

I was made to feel very welcome. I was offered a cuppa and felt very relaxed. Unfortunately I was not able to have the colour that I wanted as I had not specified what I wanted on my booking, but I which was absolutely fine with me. They explained everything and was really lovely.
I had a colour regardless and had booked for a dry after.
The colour was lovely however I was left with stains around my hairline which I really dislike. have always been fortunate before there so hopefully this is a one off. I am disappointed too with my dry after. Usually I have it blow dried with a brush however this time It was literally brow dried left then brushed before walking out the door I feel I looked better going in then I did leaving. Obviously roots were much better leaving.

Excellent and most helpful reception. Lovely salon in convenient location. Very clean and welcoming. Very friendly stylist who was charming but not patronising (John or Johnny). Unfortunately the restyle simply did not work even though itlooked good on leaving the salon. I wil go back.

Thank you Sam for colour correcting my hair today after the newly improved Wella colours proved disastrous on my last colour appointment. I am absolutely thrilled to have my colour back... Thank you. And as always another short edgey haircut. Look forward to my next appointment.

Excellent service

I've been having my hair cut by John for several months now. As soon as I sat down and he talked to me about what I wanted from the cut, I knew he understood absolutely what I was after and the first cut demonstrated that. He is without doubt the best stylist I've ever used (and there have been a few!) and is also great company for the hour or so that I'm there! Receptionists and other stylists and colourists are always friendly and helpful and the salon is comfortable and relaxed. Best ever - thank you!

I now live in Cyprus but I took the opportunity to return to my favourite hairdresser, Louise, on a trip back to the UK. The changes to the salon are wonderful and the experience was as good as ever. Thank you Lou and Chelsea xx

Had my hair coloured by Martina and cut and blow dried by Danni. I always have these two ladies to do my hair as I like the results. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience as always. Only small down side was I felt very cold in salon
