Saks Hair Barnard Castle

After having a really, really bad haircut at another hairdressers I couldn't decide where to go next. After letting the scare-cut grow out for five months I went to Saks at Barnard Castle. It was an impulse visit and I am very happy to say that Jess, who fit me in at short notice, was brilliant. My faith in finding a great hair stylist is restored! Thanks for the friendly experience and for putting everything right.

First visit to Saks on Barnard Castle - my stylist was Ellie and I am delighted with the result - both cut and colour are exactly what I asked for - I will certainly be going back!

Firstly, got an appointment at an hours notice. Something no other salon in Barnard Castle could do.

All staff made me feel welcome and I was offered massive discounts for their newly opened beauty salon too.

Ellie was welcoming, friendly and extremely professional throughout. She listened to exactly what I wanted and we made decisions about the cut and style as we went.

Andrew is a great hairdressers. Great at talking through what you want and how it would work best! All the staff are lovely and you always come out of the salon feeling fab! The whole family go to Saks with some members waiting until they are back in barney just so they can get their hair done at Saks!

I love all the staff. The atmosphere and service that this place offers. My stylist is lovely and so talented but all the staff are always equally fantastic. They work hard and always thorough with all they do. I can't fault the place at all. I don't go anywhere else now!!

I rang yesterday to see if they could fit me in as I didn't have a appointment which they could. Upon arriving at the salon I was greeted by a very friendly ladie who was thorough with me from start to finish. She even made my tea exactly how I have it (I like it luke warm) throughout the shape up and blow dry I received some very valuable tips regarding my colouring as I do it myself and and go from one extreme to another. Haircut was spot on and my hair was like silk after. I can not thank the stylist enough as the whole experience was fantastic. I will deffinatly be returning and will be recommending this salon to any one who will listen!!! Well done saks :-)

Lovely highlights by Jess who always does a fantastic job. Little upset to have found dye on my top when I returned home but called salon who gave good advice on how to wash it out.

I had a half head of mesh and blow dry with Ellie. It was a really lovely experience the salon was chilled out, relaxing, friendly and welcoming and I am over the moon with my new colour. I will be back! Thank you x

The staff at Saks are just fantastic. Everyone is friendly and chats to you, making you feel very welcome. Magazines and coffee always offered. Jess did my hair today and as always- I love it. Would recommend Saks Barnard castle to anyone!

I left Saks as a customer some years ago when Lewis left, he was the reason I continued to pay Saks prices. A couple of years later with some disappointing, cheaper hair cuts I decided to give Saks another go. Marie was my stylist, I am very very pleased with the result, the first good hair cut for a few years. She was extremely pleasant, she listened and advised, she did the washing and the drying (and not just the cut) and for the first time in a while I didn't think I'd wasted my money. Many thanks Marie, I will be returning and recommending.

Having had a few bad experiences with hair colour at other salons, I decided to pay a lot more and to give Saks a go! My overall experience was very pleasant, good consultation about suitable color and cut for my hair. Great hair cut, really happy with the style. Lovely hair colour, really pleased with finished look, however, I am disappointed with the mess that was made when colour was applied. I have been left with colour stains on my forehead and left cheek and chin and a slight mark on my right ear! I did point this out, hairdresser attempted to remove with damp cotton wool, didn't work! I do think it's a shame that this has happened. I paid £100, to have an experienced colourist do my hair and I expected a little more care and attention to detail. It has put a little bit of a damper on my visit and my thoughts about wether I will return. Shame.

First visit to this Salon. To have my hair cut and coloured by Jess.
Jess was lovely and I came out very happy with the result. Will definitely be back regularly for cuts and colour. Other staff friendly.
Only complaint was I was very cold. I know it was a cold day and I was sat next to the window. But other than that no complaints and I will be back. Thankyou Jess

I always enjoy the experience going into SAKS. It's not just a great haircut , it's the extra care they take to make your experience worth coming. Prebooking is prompted, good advice and the right treatments are all offered. The extra touch is that the owner of the business is always present and he is fun and includes everyone in the room. Well done!

The staff at saks in Barnard castle are always polite + friendly and make you feel welcome, the stylists are realistic about what hair style you want to achieve and always guide you along the way. Easy to chat to and get along with. Couldn't ask for better staff. Would recommend to anyone wanting a fresh new look in a friendly environment to go to this salon.

Lovely first experience. Appointment with Jess who listened to the way I wanted my hair cut. I felt confident that it was going to be as I had described. It is a lovely cut and finish and is going to be easy to manage.

What can I say - excellent everything as usual!

This was only the second time I had visited the salon after recently moving to the area. And due to work commitments etc about 4 months had passed since my first visit. Despite this Simon remembered me and recalled what we are spoken about on my initial visit. This set the tone for the the rest of the experience. It felt personal and of a very high class. The service was second to none, from all of the staff. The cut was brilliant and very well styled to top of a great experience
