We are a multi award winning hair hairdressers in Bournemouth with award winning stylists. Our hair directors, stylists & colour specialists are highly skilled in the latest techniques to offer outstanding technical and creative excellence.

Our award winning hairdressers and hair loss clinic is renowned for offering the best in cutting, styling and colouring all types of hair, including fitting high quality tape in hair extensions.

We are proud to offer the finest salon professional products, which include the award winning Davines and Olaplex . The William Guy hair salon services include:

- Colour Services including full and half head colour, highlights and balayage .

Our hair loss specialists/ Trichologist is highly qualified and skilled in the latest hair loss treatments and knowledgeable in many hair loss conditions, including:

- Alopecia
- Telogen Effluvium
- Trichotillomania
- Female & Male Pattern Baldness

Please note: We require clients to have a patch test for any colour service a minimum of 48 hrs before appointments, these will need to be updated every 3 months. Appointments cannot go ahead without this.

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled or no-show for an appointment within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee of the appointment value. This is non-negotiable and will be enforced.

This was my first visit to a hair salon in years and to a clinic which specialises in hair loss and hair pieces ever. I was so nervous to begin with however Vanessa was welcoming, lovely throughout the appointment and so helpful. I was put at ease straight away. Visited the salon this week and went for a different colour and more drastic cut this time. Ashleigh was fab, showing me plenty of colour options to make sure I was happy with the choice and offered opinions on cut and style. I am so happy with end result and have had so many great comments on my hair since! It feels healthy and strong, and has an amazing shine to it. As always the salon felt incredibly safe and it’s obvious that Covid safety is a priority for them. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional, and love the fact that Simone responds to social media messages so quickly as makes life super easy to book/communicate when you work full time! Already got my Xmas appt booked in!

When entering the building it was very professional and Covid friendly. Having to have a temperate test and fill out a form. Venessa who did my hair treatment was very friendly and welcoming. Fab post lockdown pamper!

So delighted with the balayage and advice by Lauren. It had been a while since I’d had my hair treated (thanks COVID for scuppering my plans) and as a result I had held out until now to get anything done. My hair colour is just how I wanted it ... natural looking with a bit of vavavoom to it. Have to also admit the previous hair colour had grown out a treat (thanks Sophie for that!) All in all I have to say that whilst I was a little apprehensive about attending (purely for me being ashamed and embarrassed about by bad hair) I actually left with a spring in my step! Thank you everyone for all the hard work you’ve done. Salon looks great too!

I was rather nervous on arrival and had brought my husband with me for moral support and also to ensure that he was happy with my wig. I have had hair loss problems for 15 years. Everyone was very friendly and Georgie put me at my ease, listening to ensure that she understood exactly how I felt and what I wanted. She found a few wigs that were very much in line with my thoughts and my husband agreed too so everything was much easier that I thought it would be.
I left the salon feeling more confident than I had for years - and I'll be 73 the day after tomorrow so that's a long time! My husband actually said I looked younger and after 52 years of marriage I don't get many compliments!

Visited the salon last week for my first colour and cut in forever and so pleased with the results. Jo listened to what I wanted but also gave me some great suggestions. First time - Loved It!

I found this salon online and knew from the website I was going to be in safe hands. The whole experience was really supportive and relaxing - Jo talked through what I was looking to do (donate 16 inches and go for a lob!) and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The infection control practice is excellent and I forgot about the PPE after a relaxing hair wash and head massage! Jo was really personable and the whole experience was exciting and felt like a treat.

The haircut - I LOVE it. I’ve never had short hair and Jo’s expertise gave me the confidence to go for it, she even picked a picture of the lob of my dreams based off our initial discussion and the outcome was perfect. She styled it at the end and I walked out feeling fantastic!

I’d highly recommend going here, especially if It’s your first time. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Jo and the whole team!

The salon looks great after the refurbishment and looked absolutely spotless. Hair service itself was great, as it always is at ST. I must say the only thing I'm somewhat unconvinced about is the added charge of £4 for PPE, which does seem to be more than other salons are charging.

We have tried to communicate to all clients the process within the salon and the industry at this difficult time. We have a online safety policy booklet which can be read that was put together for client and staff safety and talked about over our social media channels.

All our staff have to change their PPE every time they see a new client or leave the salon floor. At Simone Thomas Salon we are using the highest standard of cleaning and sterilisation products in between every client so we need to charge a £4 PPE charge to all clients to cover the huge costs for such measures within the business to keep clients safe and to be able to operate.

Our aim always is to keep all our staff safe, their families and clients during these uncertain times.

As example on costs to a business 500 clients a month is over 1000 units of PPE. The costs of this monthly is over £2000 a month which no business within the hair or beauty industry can sustain with the levels of products and equipment we are using within our business, we can’t comment on what other salons are doing but due to the nature of our business and client on our second floor we have guidance and support from our insurance company and industry professionals on the highest grade protocols. If we are having to continue using PPE for the next six months that is a minimum of £12,000 + which is not possible. The government have not given much support or help to our industry as I am sure you are aware so we are doing everything we can to be safe and stay open.

Within the salon we have also bought a fogging machine which is used twice a day to clean everything as well as UV sterilisation systems for equipment. We also continue to use a professional cleaning company to keep our salon spotless as well as all the cleaning we do throughout the day to keep in-between each client to keep everyone safe as possible.

We hope this helps explain why we have to charge the £4 PPE charge and why this will be in place for sometime moving forward.

The salon are really prepared for Covid. Temperature was taken upon arrival and hand sanitizer given. Everyone is wearing face shields. Jo was her usual lovely self. Nice to chat with, always asking if I was comfortable as I ended up wearing a face mask for 3 hours. I left feeling amazing. Jo did my hair exactly how I wanted. Perfect after not having had my hair done for about 8 months.
