Emma absolutely nailed my vision! The most voluminous, bouncy blow-dry I’ve ever had—my hair felt incredible and gave me such a confidence boost. Loved the whole experience. Highly recommend!

I was with Louise today for a Cut and Blowdry and the experience was unlike any other I have had with my hair.
From start to finish I was made to feel totally welcome and comfortable. Louise took the time to figure out what I wanted and needed for my haircut and found a solution that made me feel much happier in myself by the end.
The whole space had a soft and welcoming feeling with no judgement or feeling like you were just another number through the door.
This felt like a very human and holistic approach to your hair as part of you and not some separate entity.

Lovely welcome Gemma listened to my ideas then discussed what would and wouldn’t work. Best cut I’ve had in ages!

I had a colour with Millie and cut with Gemma and had a vague idea of what I wanted but they guided me really well and took everything into account to give me exactly what i needed 😊. Also a lovely salon - welcoming, friendly, with lots of tea and coffee. Highly recommend.

I booked my first haircut with Gemma after reading great reviews—especially from fellow curly-haired people—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The salon itself is beautiful, but what really makes it special is the atmosphere and the people. Everyone is so warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.

Gemma is down-to-earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. She made the whole experience feel calm and relaxed, and I felt truly listened to. This isn’t your typical hair salon—it’s a space where everyone feels welcome, cared for, and leaves with amazing hair and a boost of positive energy.

Atmosphere from the start was amazing, I arrived a bit early and they immediately offered me a drink while I waited. Everyone was really lovely and chatty and all really seemed to know what to do with my hair (which is quite thick and curly). The lady washing my hair (not sure what her name was, short with long blonde curls) was offering all sorts of advice on how to maintain my hair at home and Millie treated my hair perfectly while cutting it and answered the questions I had about possibly adding colour to it in future and seemed like she knew what she was talking about. Very happy with the layers I had cut and definitely coming back in future, was nervous at first but everyone is so nice 10/10

Friendly, professional, always honest and willing to give advice. Everyone at it's science is welcoming and kind and knowledgeable. Always feel amazing when Millie's cut my hair, and I love that I don't have to see myself in the mirror! Won't go anywhere else xxxxxx

I had Gemma and Millie today and they were so lovely. They really worked with me to make sure I loved my hair and even though it was my first time at the salon, I felt so comfortable. I would definitely go back for another service. I had it cut, colored, and styled and it looks amazing

I never fail to have an amazing experience - they all work as a great team - from offering a delicious big coffee on arrival, to a super relaxing head wash n massage, to a social cut/colour/style around the huge kitchen style table (no mirrors - just chat). They all go out of their way to ensure they do what YOU want, and offer great ideas. I have very short hair and Gemma is a master at pixie cuts! And Emma is a colour guru - a real genius with the science and chemistry of colour. I even treated my sister, visiting from USA, to a cut/colour/style of her long hair - months later she still says it was the best experience ever - on leaving she said she felt like she’d been to a spa!

Millie had the tricky task of matching my existing colour to cover root re/growth & she did a brilliant job!
Everyone who works at the salon is lovely, so there’s a really nice atmosphere with plenty of friendly chat with customers treated like old friends.
It’s great not to have a mirror in front of you (although you can opt for one if you wish).
I had the impression that all the stylists strive for the best results & genuinely want their customers to be happy with their choices.

Nice relaxed airy atmosphere. Millie is very pleasant, friendly, chatty, and I liked how she asked me questions about the style I was wanting and making it work for me. Lady who shampoo/conditioned my hair (didn't catch her name:( ) was so gentle, it was like having a head massage

Gemma, as usual, looked after my daughter and gave a well overdue glow up she always enjoys

I think Emma is extremely talented. There is no style I’ve asked for so far that she hasn’t achieved for me.
It’s Science for me is the place to go for quality. My hair doesn’t just look better when I leave, it feels better. The hair mask they offer is the best I’ve ever had. It’s pure magic!
It’s also wonderful not having to sit awkwardly in front of a mirror during the appointment. That’s a really unique and beneficial idea.
Thank you Emma for never rushing my hair. Even when you’re busy, you take your time.

Gemma was amazing from the moment I walked into the salon. So welcoming and accommodating… I desperately wanted a new look after a negative experience at a previous salon. Gemma addressed my concerns and doubts, reassuring me throughout the whole process. Best hair salon I've ever been to! Lovely atmosphere, beautiful salon, all the staff are great and professional and friendly. Millie always does a great job on my hair. They're also really sensitive to and helpful with checking products are suitable for my allergies.

Honestly, I can’t believe a place like this exists in Swansea—it feels like the kind of polished, high-level salon you’d expect to find in London. Everything about it is faultless. The online booking system is straightforward, the flexible opening hours make it easy to find the perfect slot, and every member of staff radiates passion, warmth, and incredible talent.

Gemma is a force of nature—zesty, stylish, and brimming with passion. You can’t help but be in awe of what she’s created here. More than anything, I’m just grateful for it. The treatments are outstanding—the hair mask in particular is the best I’ve ever tried. I don’t know what magic is in it, but it transforms my hair’s manageability every single time. Beyond that, it’s become a moment of calm for me; I’m naturally quite highly strung, but this treatment relaxes me like nothing else.

I usually see Emma, whose gentle yet strong personality immediately puts me at ease. She makes me feel safe, listened to, and completely confident in her hands. I absolutely love the way she does my hair—I trust her completely.

I can’t recommend It’s Science enough. What a gem of a find!

To be honest, I’m disappointed. Now I’m home, the cut doesn’t sit well - it’s much shorter at the front than I wanted … and there’s nothing anyone can do until it grows out
