TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. So as usual the service is second to none. Liam my colour technician works wonders. What can I say about Stella? She is so much more than a stylist. If I could vote for the staff then ❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️.
Unfortunately the salon needs some serious attention. It just looks scruffy and there aren't enough juniors in salon. I have been using this salon for 10 years and recently standards have plummeted. Won't stop me coming back though!

The overall experience at the Salon was very professional and relaxing. The stylist listened to exactly what I wanted, and it it the happiest I have been with my hair for a long time.

My only complaint is that I did not get the Stylist I had booked for my appointment, and I received no explanation or apology as to why I was seen by another Stylist.

Also the atomosphere was killed a little since a customer had a friend in with her, and the two were speaking extremely loud the whole way through my visit.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Going to get my hair done is my little bit of luxury and it's the perfect place to chill out. A fab pampering session complete with a good cuppa and the all important head massage. Simply wonderful.

Always get the exact hair cut I ask for, they understand the needs where as most hairdressers you leave feeling like they haven't gone what you asked but here they do exactly how you ask and recommend styling techniques and hair colours too suit you etc. Great place! Love the head massage and back massage when getting your hair washed too, lovely place and it's very classy! Ran by very friendly people also

The lady who served me was lovely and very welcoming, she told me exactly how it was and what she was going to do with my hair. Also, explaining that the colour I wanted was going to be difficult but she would robber best to do it because my hair was so dark. The outcome was amazing and my hair feels great too. The styling of the hair after it was coloured and cut was unbelievable, a voluminous blow dry is what I asked for and excactly what I got. I am very happy with my hair .

Came in for full head of highlights and cut and blow dry! Caroline was very nice and understood what I wanted, she made my hair colour the best it's ever been, I love it! I went for a complete change for my haircut and got a lot taken off. Tanya was lovely and really thought about what would look best on me and my hair is so nice! Couldn't be happier with the service I received, rebooked of course!

I visited this shop a few years ago, having not had my haircut in a salon for a long time I was really looking forward to it. There were a few problems with me being told the wrong time, being over charged, no conversation throughout the cut and an overall bad experience. However, I visited again recently and I was served by the loveliest woman Libby, we talked non stop and she gave me advice on how I should have my hair cut to suit me. This is why I come to the hairdressers - for the experience, which each member of staff delivered. The current staff are fab! I received a discount which made the haircut really cheap, although I don't know if I would pay the full price after this time. In general, great salon, thank you!

I explained at length what I was looking for and left salon with nothing like it !! Also quickest hair appt ever, in and out in 35 minutes. I wish I'd had the nerve to say how disappointed I was but it's hard criticising someone's work to their face !

Friendly but not a great experience

My first experience wasn't that great. The lady that took care of me was very friendly and she seemed to being an experienced stylist but in the end I didn't feel great. My neck and clothes were full of hair and I had to clean myself with the brush. My sideburns left as they were. I honestly I had to go into a taxi and cancel my meeting so I clean myself. I would prefer to be more careful and have after cut head wash.

I've had friends telle the cost at T&G is expensivery but for me great service and a quality product are always worth it. You book your appointment and are always greeted with a smile and friendly face and offered some kind of drink. You get a back rub from a chair and usually a good head massage when they condition your hair. The cut... I've always been over the moon with and have been going here since it was downstairs in monument metro. I like that I go in and get a cut with scissors and not get sheared like a lamb with clippers.
Always remember most good artists use a brush to create a image they don't use a roller to do it as quick as possible.

Went in for a major cut (from mid back length curls to a crop). Nick really took his time to make sure it was absolutely perfect, even though it probably took longer than the average cut (like I said, major change of style). Absolutely loved the service and the results and would recommend the salon and Nick to anyone looking for a new hairdresser. 10/10
