About us

Welcome to Sorella.

We are a professional hair salon in Knaphill, Woking - and we've been doing what we love for nearly a decade.

We're a team of 20 employed stylists and creatives, led by our co-founder Lucy Mitchell. We specialise in colour, including balayage, colour melting and grey blending, but whether you're after a big transformation or a brilliant cut and blowdry, you'll leave feeling exactly how you hoped.

Our mission is to be the most professional, consistent, and caring salon in Surrey - a place where every client feels genuinely looked after, every single visit. We invest constantly in our team's education and development, because the best results come from people who love what they do and keep getting better at it.

We have eight stylist levels, each with their own price point, giving you complete flexibility whether you're looking for a great-value graduate appointment or an advanced colour transformation with one of our Senior Stylists or Creative Directors.

The salon itself is designed with one thing in mind - you feeling relaxed and at home. Highlights include a separate spa washroom for your hair wash and head massage, an extensive drinks menu with 16+ teas and coffees, and yes, we're fully licensed — think prosecco and seasonal cocktails! We're also gender-neutral and wheelchair accessible.

Our friendly Front of House team are always on hand to help - whether you're not sure what to book, want a stylist recommendation, or just have questions before your first visit. There is free parking available right behind the salon, and booking is easy online, by app, phone, WhatsApp, or email.

I had a lovely time at Sorella this morning. I had a half head of highlights done by Kirsty and she did a fab job. She really took the time to understand what I wanted and I’m really pleased with my new hair! She also gave me lots of other hair tips and advice. The whole salon feels like a real treat - I had several drinks, some biscuits and where your hair is washed is like a spa. Kirsty herself is absolutely lovely and I had a great time chatting away to her. Would highly recommend!

Lucy is the best hairdresser I have ever had. Not only she is super talented and great at what she does, but also she is amazing at listening to me to really understand what I want. This was my 3rd time using sorella
I'd been wanting to trial hair colour and then today had hair colour and blow dry as if it was the wedding day. I showed olivia how I would like it done with a picture, and she did it exactly the same, it looked very nice. I had pictures taken so I can show the hair dresser at the wedding how I want it. As its in Hertfordshire where the wedding is.
