After arriving in the UK 5 years ago I had a difficult time finding my forever hairdresser. After finding Jenny and the team I haven't looked back. These are some talented ladies. Wouldnt go anywhere else #Carter&Shieldsforever!

Seriously. I go to Carter & Shields knowing I'll get a first class experience. No matter how stressed I am (I'm 5 days away from my wedding to give an idea of stress levels) and know I'll come out with amazing hair and the service is simply the best. Elle makes me feel like the hair I've always wanted to have is possible (and proves it) every time. This time I had the added bonus of the most well behaved and adorable puppy you've ever met falling asleep on my lap. Went in at stress 11/10 and came out feeling more relaxed than in forever. Every salon should have a puppy and an Ellie. Hands down my best visit ever, I was sad to leave the puppy and salon behind.

Had another great blow dry by Riana and find this salon so welcoming and has always been a great service. Can’t wait till next visit

It is so fine, I have had Rhianna doing my hair for a while now so she knows what to do.

This is an excellent salon for ladies and men, beautiful salon, clean, fresh bright and airy. The team are polite, friendly and very helpful. It is an absolute pleasure to have a hair cut there, I most certainly look forward to going back for many years.

I’m super picky when it comes to hairdressers and I won’t recommend one without good reason. Jenny has been cutting and colouring my hair for a long time now and I’d now struggle to trust anyone else. She is happy to suggest and recommend new cuts and colours for me to try and never fails - I’m a happy customer every time I leave. She is also fabulous at waxing and eyelash extensions - Best I’ve had! All of the girls in the salon are super friendly and it’s a great place to spend a few hours in. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carter & Shields. If you live near by you must go!

My experience here was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and passionate about their work. My stylist (Elle) knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen! I have tried twice with other salons to explain what I wanted and been disappointed. When I left here I honestly felt so relieved and extremely happy - it was exactly how I imagined it and I really can’t recommend them high enough. Amazing place!

I first visited Cater & Shields via a promotion they were offering and after I had grown exhausted of the sub standard service I had received from a well known salon. The staff at Carter & Shields are always welcoming and friendly. They provide excellent customer service and I am always pleased with the results after my visit.

My 3rd visit but this time to give my elderly mother a posh new hairdo for Christmas.
We didn't actually make it into the salon this time as mum had a fall outside which resulted in me hitting my head on the pavement in an effort to save her. So this review is for acts of human kindness.

Service 5* - within seconds these ladies were outside to our aid.
Value 5* - priceless.
Result 5* - an ambulance was called which took me to hospital
Cleanliness 5* - cushions and blankets appeared which were tucked around us both to keep warm,
Atmosphere 5 * - for the hot cuppas and caring attitude shown by all which kept mum calm.
Mum bless her was unharmed and these ladies looked after her until family arrived. Jenny also gave mum a lovely hairdo .... Thank you.
Elle offered to come with me to hospital ... Thank you you too.

The wonderful team here are absolutely second to none. I came in with very damaged and orange hair and asked to go blonde.. And they actually did it. I have never had such beautiful hair. It has life and bounce and is a beautiful colour. I will never look back :) they have introduced me to a routine and products I would never have looked at before and even if I'd bought them I would have probably used them incorrectly! I can't thank Danielle enough for the quality of work and expertise she has brought to my hair care.

Before coming here I hopped between lots of different hairdressers booking last minute each time. I came to Carter and Shields a year ago and I have not looked back since! My hair has never looked so good and healthy and I book regular appointments because the way they cut hair is amazing and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. My whole family now come here (including my husband who loves it!!) Honestly, one visit here and you will not want to go anywhere else!

You are treated with 5 star treatment! I love the fact they educate you on what hair products they use. I did treat my self with the products recommended and my hair is still feeling great

I went to the salon for the first time 3 months ago and received very frendly welcoming.
I had my hair done just beautifully!!! Nothing was a bother for them, I had the most pleaset visit.
I went there second time just today and yet again recived great service.
When you there you don't get that "rush" feeling you get when you go to the chain salons. Everyone is having great laugh, easy atmosphere.....and the hair...OMG the result is just breath taking

I have only recently been getting my hair cut and coloured here, I started through a work promotion. The staff are always happy and helpful and I have had different colours in my hair every time I go. They always make me feel so relaxed from the moment I walk through the door.
