This was my first visit to the salon and I was very surprised at how much care and attention was given to my haircut. After visiting a number of salons over the past few years where usually you are in and out in under 45 minutes this was a much nicer experience. I felt like Matthew really cared about my hair and he was very confident and meticulous in his craft.

I'm not sure what the name of the girl was who cut my hair. I had quite long hair when I came in and asked for literally a trim, I didn't realise how much she was cutting off at the back until she moved on to the sides and top, when I stopped her and said I think you're cutting more off than I want, to which she told me that she has to in order to make it blend in. I let her continue and the end result, while not badly done, is simply entirely not what I asked for or wanted. I told her I was growing my hair out, and wanted less than an inch off. She has cut probably 3 inches off the top. Probably will take 4 or 5 months to get back to where I wanted it. Very unhappy with this. I have been coming to this barbers for about 8 years and I think this may be the last time now. Looking in the mirror just makes me angry now.

I wanted a slightly boxy bob with a few layers to soften the edge , showed both stylist the pictures that my hair would easily have been cut into .Came out both times with overly thinned out bowl cuts that were super old fashioned , sorry Taylor Taylor . Lauren is so great at listening to what I ask for and executing exactly that. She is so kind to me which I really appreciate as I struggle so much speaking to people I don't know very well, being autistic. She makes me feel so comfortable and welcome is just lovely. Today I asked for layers but I didn't want to lose too much thickness and also to blend my bangs a bit more as they grow. This was my first time at Taylor Taylor, following my consultation last week . Lauren and I had already discussed what I wanted to do however she remembered everything we'd discussed the week before which was massively reassuring. On arrival I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable . Lauren discussed the plan and explained each step as she coloured and cut my hair showing me how to style and what equipment and products to use .
