Just spent a wonderful few hours in Sands hairdressers. I was greeted by the very efficient receptionist and offered a drink. I chose chamomile tea and received a lovely tray and teapot. Good start but it got better when a lovely young girl gave me a super head massage. She then washed my hair which was a great experience. I usually hate having it washed as back washes are so uncomfortable, but not here. The wash was expertly done then back to the cutting station where Beni worked her magic on my otherwise unruly locks and next to no time I was looking immaculate! Whilst I was enjoying my blow dry it was made even better by the same young girl coming back to massage my hands. It felt very decadent but fantastic.
All in all my daughter and myself had a lovely experience and thanks to all the staff who made it a lovely afternoon. Thank you.

Went yesterday to get my hair cut by Hannah and I love it, as usual. I always believe that going to a hair salon should be a place to unwind and treat yourself and SANDS ticks all the boxes, especially with the complimentary head massage.

Lovely salon always made to feel welcome, I don't really feel comfortable in hairdressers but Sands is the exception, bit more pricey than others but I would rather pay a little bit extra and get a good service.

Fragrant Indian Head massage using Aveda oils. Shampooing scrupulously done, and Bridies cutting really excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere in salon. It's a keeper.

Ellisha was brilliant- an amazing and knowledgable colourist who helped save my previous disastrous colour from another salon. The whole salon was a lovely experience and treat- friendly staff, wonderful Aveda products and great fresh coffee! Will definitely be my new go-to salon!

Went to sands for colour and cut very impressed with the service . The staff were extremely polite and friendly Carole went out of her way to make sure my every need was met and the result of my hair was exactly how I wanted it to look she did an excellent job. I am definitely going to make it my regular hair salon .

Booked in to have a colour and cut with Carol. delighted with the outcome of both the cut and colour will be booking back in again. Loveky amubience in the salon and had a hand massage which was lovely .The stylist listened to what I wanted which was brilliant

Myself and 2 daughters aged 10 and 13 booked in for cut and blow drys we were all made to feel very welcome and comfortable and the head massage was lovely. We all had different stylist and each one of them went above and beyond for us we all felt very pampered and left the salon extremely happy with our cuts and will definitely return again.

Sands always deliver a fantastic service at a reasonable price. The staff are all friendly and attentive and I always get what I ask for. I have been returning to Sands for three years now and couldn't imagine changing hairdressers. John and Beni have both cut my hair and I would really recommend both of them.

Great service, fab haircut. Beni gave us all the time we needed and listened to what we wanted. A relaxed , enjoyable experience .

I had to unfortunately change my appointment twice due to being unwell and work what wasn't a problem.
I had been previously had my hair cut at Sands and always had kind and professional service.
Ceri is attentive and is very good in adjusting little details.
A short head message and having my hair washed was done also with attention.

First visit so I was somewhat apprehensive. I like aveda colours and normally have my hair professionally coloured. Having suffered illness recently and not able regularly attend a professional salon, I opted to colour my hair at home, what a complete disaster! John at Sands was assuring, relaxing, and a consummate professional. He applied application after application, treatment after treatment. It took 4 hours to rectify my mistake. John was attentative throughout putting me at ease, listening to my suggestions and discussing every stage of the process. Result! Complete success and satisfaction of the end result. Will not hesitate to return and pass on the word to everyone I know. Thank you!!!

I always have such a lovely experience at Sands. Ive never really had a regular hairdresser before Sands and getting my haircut was more a chore than a pleasure, but the staff at Sands always make me feel so welcome and with all the little extras like the head and hand massage, along with Carrie's excellent haircut every visit feels like a proper treat.

This was my first visit to Sands. I booked that morning on the phone. It was easy and the receptionist was helpful. 20 minutes later I arrived at Sands. I gave my name and appointment time to the same receptionist I had spoken to. Not a glimmer of recognition. 3 minutes of silence and frowning while she clicked on her various screens. Not a great beginning.
Rest of staff lovely, great haircut. Again on paying, not even a smile from receptionist. Not sure I'll go again. For those prices surely a better greeting goes without saying?

Hi have just had my hair done by carrie.i showed her my pintest ideas,she totally took on what I was looking for and adapted it to suit my personal style. She was quick so for me, someone who doesn't normally like a high level of fuss it was a perfect level of service I was looking for and walked away chuffed with my new do

I had cut and colour with Kaye and my daughter had cut and blow dry with Hannah. Fabulous service from both and always receive great care and attention .- loved the complimentary head massage followed by arm and hand massage.
Would highly reccomend both, thx girls!

I had a cut and blow-dry precede by a head massage. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, and I was very pleased with the finished result.
Highly recommended- and lovely to be able to go to the hairdressers on a Sunday!

Very happy with cut. Excellent attention from the junior staff including head massage and lovely arm massage. The only downside today was that I was in the salon an hour and fifty minutes for a trim and blowdry which was a lot longer than i planned for. Otherwise very happy. Thank you

Fabulous service and really lush results.

I visit sands every five weeks, I find the staff very friendly. My stylist, Kaye, is very helpful and keeps my hair in a style that suits me. She offers knowledge of the various aveda products that can help me keep my hair looking good. All in all I am very happy with the service that I receive from sands and all of its staff.i would rate sands very highly and would recommend the salon to all my friends.

Always so welcoming and calming , staff are wonderful and always add little touches to make you feel so pampered - like offering you a tray filled with heart shaped chocolates and jammy dodgers with coffee for Valentine's Day!

I had a wonderful experience at Sands I was so well looked after and advised about all the stages of my treatment the finishing results were totally what I wanted. I arrived looking boring and came away feeling totally glamorous. The staff are warm and friendly and fun which makes me feel relaxed and happy. Nothing is too much trouble the staff go the extra mile I loved it ! Thank you once again Sands Xx

Very friendly staff. My hairdresser took time to listen carefully at what hair style I wanted and we looked at different pictures before deciding. She gave me very good advise and at tegularly during the haircut she checked with me if I liked it. She even offered to go back for free for a touch if I wasn't happy after a few days.
The extra wow factor is a nice head massage with aromatherapy and an ofer of a choice of high quality teas and coffee.
Happy to pay a bit more.A real treat

A salon that always delivers. I tend to have two stylists, one to do my colour and one to do my cut however during December with lots of parties and events I had three different stylists do a few blow drys and a cut throughout the month. All were amazing, can confidently say that whoever you book with you won't be disappointed, the whole team are to such a high standard and so friendly and welcoming. Fabulous atmosphere and ambiance always, amazing products, love Aveda. Also used the salon for my wedding in July 2016; the bridesmaids, aunts, mother of the bride and groom (about 10 of us in total) all had fabulous hair and we were all delighted. Top marks as always Sands!!
