Very impressed today, I had my hair highlighted and a cut with John, he was very professional and so easy to talk to and he actually listened and he just knew what I was looking for.

All Sands staff were really polite and happy atmosphere there made it a very nice experience, I was even given a complimentary hand massage and have never been offered this before from any Salon that I have gone to before.

My experience in Sands salon is always Great!! I have been following Sheila around for 28years! So I must be happy! There is always a lovely atmosphere in Sands salon. All Sheila’s staff can’t do enough to make everyones experience comfortable & pleasant ! I can’t praise them enough!!

Title says it all

Not a great review today, was a little annoyed that my original booking had been booked for 23rd Feb instead of today ( I phoned and booked yesterday and asked for an appointment today, so not sure where 23rd Feb came from) Had I not double checked online the time of my appt before leaving I would have turned up and not actually had an appointment.
That being said, when I realised what had happened I phoned the salon and I was squeezed in at an earlier time ( which i was grateful for) .
I Would also like to point out that my colour and cut with jasmine and Ceri are great. This is in no way a complaint regarding my hair .

However, on paying , the guy who took my payment said because I had been shuffled around a bit and now had two stylists instead of one I would be charged more than the price I was told it would be on the phone . On booking I was told £87.50 for root colour and cut and on the day it was £102 with £5 discount for Christmas. So my bill was £97.
I obviously paid and didn’t really say to much about it, but i feel that’s not on really. That mix up with my appointment was in no way my fault, yet Iv been charged extra for it! I work in this industry an I wouldn’t charge a client extra for a mistake that had been made my end. Bit disappointed with that if I’m honest guys !

Took my daughter for a hair cut she had very long hair and she wanted it cut short, all the staff were very friendly made to feel welcome offered tea coffee ect and my daughter was offered juice and biscuits, went in with a shy 7 year old came out with a very confident little girl, definitely my go too hairdressers, would recommend to anyone!

I found this salon via Google when I was looking for somewhere open on a Sunday. It’s a beautiful salon in a lovely part of the city. Staff were the perfect balance of polite and chatty without being over familiar. I just went in for a blow dry but felt very well looked after and will definitely return.

Just back from Sands Hairdressing. As usual, I have been treated to a special experience. I love that I get offered a complimentary head massage with a beautifully scented oil, along with a welcome cup of tea.
The Aveda products used at Sands always smell amazing and make my hair feel beautifully soft. The stylists are all experienced and skilled and will give you a wonderful haircut.

A visit to Sands is always a lovely treat.

Stuart, my stylist (whom I met for the first time today) understood me from the get-go, and translated my garbled requirements perfectly and went on to cut, primp and style my hair just beautifully. He was so knowledgeable, approachable, passionate about the Aveda brand and about his profession and he made me feel as if I’d known him for years and years.

This was my first visit to the salon but definitely not the last! Gary is absolutely lovely and a magician with hair. My hair was a mess and he's fixed everything I didn't like about it (even things that I didn't think were possible to fix). I'm so impressed how light he managed to get my colour. First visit to SANDS today and WOW!! Overwhelmed by just how good the experience, service and result was.
From the moment I walked through the door I was welcomed in and spoken to like my custom was really valued.
I kid you not, every single strand of my hair feels like it has been pampered individually. The Salon and the products used smelled devine and I was treated to a relaxing complementary head massage too! Huge thanks to the talented John who genuinely delivered the best cut and style I have ever had...what a hair wizard! I walked in like a grubby 50p piece and came out feeling like a million dollars!! SANDS provided what every salon should....a slick, professional pampering experience with amazing results. Worth every single penny and I would highly recommended their hair magic!!

I always love coming to Sands. But the last few times I've been left with a wet gown & neck after shampooing. I've got long hair so when I lift my head for the towel wrap, inevitably it drips down. Can the technique be revised for those with long hair? Extra towel? Or towel to reduce wetness before wrapping?

I have been a customer with SANDS for over 15 years.
I have never had a bad haircut there.
The staff are professional, friendly and
excellent hairdressers.
The salon is relaxed and I always feel chilled on leaving however hectic my day has been.
I would highly recommend

Excellent service, always made to feel welcome, Beni always colours my hair and styles it to an excellent standard, she is very attentive, always explains what is best for colouring my hair , what style of cut best suites me, the end product is always to a high standard, she is a very warm and friendly person, and could not imagine any other stylist to do my hair. The Salon is of a high standard, is always clean and the staff is always welcoming and very helpful.

Ceri styles my hair and I trust her implicitly, with colour and cut. I am always so thrilled with the result. I have been a seeing Ceri at Sands for the best part of 20 years.

It is a lovely experience to have my hair cut at Sands. Everyone is friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming, Strictly professional, but not stand-offish. The ambience of the Aveda salon is one of great calmness and relaxation. I am aware it is a hive of activity but as a client never feel rushed.

I do relish my monthly treat of having my hair styled, the chat, the coffees and teas, hand massages and array of glossy magazines to read. I really feel the difference having my hair washed and coloured using Aveda hair products and buy my own now from the salon.

And though the customer care is exceptionally good, maybe more importantly, when I leave and am out and about, I am so pleased to have compliments made about my hair.

So, yes, I recommend this salon!
