Great haircut with Gary , listened to what i wanted and advised accordingly. Highly recommend

Beni highlighted my hair to perfection, no need for toner. I explained my hair has a lot of hidden red in it and she obviously adjusted the colour mix to make it ideal. Then after showing Beni pictures in a magazine she went on the cut my hair exactly like the images. Hannah then blow dried my hair beautifully creating natural looking waves. One very contented customer! The overall vibe was relaxed and happy.

Ceri always gives an excellent service, she listens and asks lots of questions to achieve exactly what you are looking for. She is warm and friendly and a passionate and very talented hairdresser who really delivers 100% on every visit.

Another fabulous result by my incredible stylist, Stuart. Stuart has to use all of his creative prowess to completely change my hair colour to a very cool blonde. I’m so thrilled with my new look.

Absolutely loved my hair. Beautifully done by Carrie. Would highly recommend her! Very friendly staff and so welcoming! Would return for sure. Even greeted with my coat being taken off me and a choice of hot and cold drinks. Perfect!

High quality hair cutting and finish from very accomplished stylists

I was recommended Gary when new to Cardiff and wanting to free my 52 year old self of a thinniing, sun dried, neglected, lack lustre, withered head nest.

The team was fabulous Turned it into a shining, vibrant, healthy, thicker looking crown in no time.

Gary's cut was spot on, he knew what to do with little prompting to give me an easy care flattering and versatile style. Everyone who has seen it so far has commented on the cut and asked where I had it done.

Best of all he didn't spend an hour spraying and tooling it into a style, the cut did it all with minimal intervention from product and heat tools meaning my hair just feels natural but still 'done'. I know I can make it look like this again after I wash it and I won't be two hours faffing before work and yet I know with a few potions (you can pick some up in the salon) and some teasing I could have a different look if I fancied stepping it up a bit. The fab products including a recommended protein treatment really brought the blonde out in my hair. Just love it.

Freebie head massage, hand and arm massage, lovely cuppa, modern bright environment with a beautiful outdoor waiting space, happy smiley super helpful staff, gorgeous products...what more could we need?

Not the cheapest salon I've been in, not the most expensive either but definitely the best. Can't wait to go back.

Had my first experience At sands today . I found all the staff friendly and felt a million dollars when I came out. I love my new hair cut. I forgot the name of the gentleman who cut my hair, sorry! he was very charming and did an excellent job. Thank you. I will be coming back.

I visited Sands looking for a relaxing experience and an expert stylist to freshen up my ‘do. Debbie is fantastic! Her head massages melt stress away, and the cut she gave me is perfect! I didn’t properly describe what I was looking for, but lo and behold she figured it out and now I’m so happy with my cut. (it’s a shag, not a long bob) The Aveda experience, products, and expert stylists at Sands are amazing and worth a try!

I had my hair re-shaped yesterday.
As ever, the service was excellent even though the salon was very busy on a Saturday.
This is best salon I have ever been to.

I had a perm consultation with Stuart. Instead of just trying to get the custom & money in, Stuart carried out a test to see if my hair would take a perm. I was called after the test & informed that unfortunately it was not currently able to take a perm. Stuart gave me tips on how to improve the condition of my hair so it will eventually take a perm. Instead of cancelling my perm appointment next week I have just changed the appointment so I can have a hair conditioning treatment instead. Thank you for the advice & for caring, instead of just being considered about the money :)

Another completely first class experience at this incredibly dedicated to professionalism salon.
I left looking (for me) and feeling (more so) a million dollars.
Thanks to my utterly zany, fun, switched on and brilliant, ‘scientist’ of a stylist Stuart. He never lets a thing slip and knows intrinsically what I crave for my hair, my look and my experience.
From the moment I walked through the door I felt totally welcomed in.
All of the stylists and colleagues are so friendly and happy together that the vibe is there is alive and almost ‘family ‘ like. I ladire that about Sands.
Each and every person In that salon was on their ‘A’ game today despite a very busy Saturday.
I enjoyed a beautiful tray or two of coffee ☕️, iced, lemon water, an extraordinary hand and arm massage from a world class gymnast and boxer (who gets completely how to massage that deep tissue) and gave some very motivational advice as she released all of my stress!
I wish I could recall everyone’s names as each deserve to be recognised!
It’s a huge financial treat to myself to have my hair and ‘soul’ perfected at Sands each month, but it is worth every single penny!

Having returned today after a long absence I realised what an amazing hair salon Sands is.. John coloured my hair and cut after years of box dyes .. I was very apprehensive but he did an amazing job.. colour is beautiful. Will be back never again using a box dye! Thank you
