Extremely poor contact during lockdown. Sands assume all clients on social media, Facebook, Instagram etc.. Not the case. But I understand from friends no updates posted in any case..Telephone recorded message not updated. Expected more.

All the measures to protect the customer were very reassuring ,but the visit was also relaxed and enjoyable .

Sands was really organised, I felt safe and the whole process of my haircut with PPE regulations in place was not an issue.

After the longest I’ve ever gone without having my hair done, it was wonderful to be back at Sands and to have Carol make me look decent again. Totally enjoyed having my hair done and loved the result. Sadly, the mood was eroded when I was asked to pay a further £27 when I had paid £102 previously, which I was told was the cost. I noted that I was not the only client asked to pay more.

Great cut as ever from Ceri - I was a little wary about having my haircut after being in lockdown for so long but the set up and procedures in Sands are very impressive and I felt very comfortable that it was as safe as it could be. Thank you so much Ceri for such a positive experience and giving me a real boost.

It was wonderful to to be back at Sands. I felt completely safe as they'd arranged the salon so well and hygenically. My hair needed a new style and a different colour but as always Ceri was wonderful and made a fantastic job! Thank you Ceri. Im trilled with my hair! Thank you Sands! Felt inordinately excited but trepidatious about having a cut and colour after so long, with social distancing and special safety measures in place. But all my fears were unfounded and I was right to feel excited because my cut-and-colour, as always, was brilliant and I felt great reassurance in having my temperature taken and wearing a mask, and stylists wearing masks etc as it made me feel I was in a healthily risk reduced environment! And the chat, friendliness and usual professionalism of the salon was the same, it did make me feel glad of heart some normality was returning, a new normality albeit. I felt incredibly better for having my hair styled and coloured after such a long time, so glad to see everyone. I highly recommend the Sands experience.

I was thrilled with the result of my cut and colour with Phil and so nice to have my hair Back to normal! I felt very safe - I was given a plastic gown and gloves and individual towel in a plastic bag as I went in and my temperature was taken. There were only three other clients in the salon and it was easy to maintain social distance. Well done everyone and thank you!

A different experience die to social distancing & protection measures (all administered & adhered to immaculately). But no less friendly, helpful, wonderful service in a relaxed atmosphere! Can’t wait for my next visit xx

I was absolutely delighted to come back to my favourite hairdresser Ben. Although Everything was not quite as usual I was very impressed with all your preparation to reopen. Colour and cut are up to Ben’s high standards. I feel a new woman.

Very well prepared fir working under the current Covid19 restrictions. I felt very comfortable in the salon. Great attention by Debbie as usual.

After 3 months of lockdown I was so ready for a haircut and colour, depression was setting in. Have been going to Sands since it opened and Sheila always makes a superb job of my fine hair. It was so nice to see Sheila and her staff again after such a long time and I knew all safety measures would be in place and that my visit would run smoothly. I can't recommend this salon highly enough even without my usual 4 cups of tea and biscuits owing to the current climate!

Despite the worrying circumstances with which we are living the team at Sands gave their usual 5 star service. Debbie was fantastic and the positive attitude from the whole teams was very much Business as usual.

I love the way Debbie cuts my hair. She always listens and is very careful. I would recommend her any day!

First time here had the lovely Jasmine went from long to short expressed I wanted a change but a cut that would compliment me and is low maintenance she gave me what I asked for and she also expressed what she also thought would suit me. Very friendly place with real looking people a hair salon that actually listens and trys to give you what you asked for. Will be returning and recommending to family and friends I felt at ease the whole time :) which is a must for me instead of being rushed in and out like other salons I has visited in cardiff.
