Myself and my daughter always enjoy our hair services provided by Alex W, she gives great advice and honest opinions, and absolutely fabulous at what she does. It’s Money well spent, i always feel great after my cut and colour, my hair is so much better after using the Aveda products also recommended by Alex. There is an excellent, well established team at Urban Therapy that gives off a great vibe. We always get a complimentary massage on arrival and also during the hair wash, drinks are offered throughout, overall a very relaxing, indulgent experience. I highly recommend a visit to this top quality salon 🙂

I decided to shorten my hair and Alex gave me a great cut! Always professional and so friendly. Love my visits to Urban Therapy!

Alex was friendly and initially I had a great apt but was surprised by an unexpected cost. I booked my apt online which told me the booking was £144. At the till it came to £204. I didn't question when paying as I didn't want to cause an awkward scene but I called after leaving as I was surprised at the extra £60. I spoke to Alex who said that because she applied a root colour this was additional. She said "oh sorry I should have explained this during the consultation". Honestly, I'm hugely disappointed, I really liked my previous cut with Alex but £60 is a huge unexpected cost and it shouldn't be assumed that this can just be added to a booking without confirming with the customer. I wasn't told that the booking cost could and would increase. As a gesture of good will I believe this should be refunded. Sadly, i don't think I'll be returning due to this experience

Such a gorgeous cut from Millie, she diffused my curly hair and talked me through the whole process so I could do the same at home. So happy with the result which is very rare for me because my hair can be difficult /frizzy ! Thank you will deffo be coming back :)

I look forward to appointments and I've been coming here for over 10 years. Everyone is friendly and I like the atmosphere in the salon. I do think it's quite expensive but given the products used and the level of service I think it's worth paying the extra. The only thing I wish could be a little better is the hair washing set up, the temperature of the water is a bit temperamental and the basin is really uncomfortable on the head/neck. Are padded ones a thing? It's only minor but would make it more comfortable 😊

An adept colourist & cutter, Alex is an asset to the team at Urban Therapy. Her technical skills are matched by a natural empathy so a haircut becomes a pleasant social encounter.

Absolutely love my new hair style. Laura was brilliant. I showed her some styles I liked and she advised me on what would work best for my hair which is quite tricky to manage. She got it spot on. Really knows her stuff and did a fab job. Thrilled to pieces.

I am a long term customer of Aveda. The service provided by Ben then Amber was always brilliant. Beautiful colour and trim. Always as I wanted. I got highlights, so I visit the salon for a T section to be done. With Ben, the creative Director I used to pay £149, then with Amber recently £140. Sadly both of them are gone, so I was booked with a new hairdresser . Unfortunately the colour is too dark, especially the roots. Shockingly, the price was hiked up to £172 for T section, 5 minutes toner, light trim and blow dry. Outrageous price and unexpected level of service.

Really really happy with my new hairdresser, my other left and I was worried but they recommended Millie and she is very good too!

10 yrs ago this salon was Amazing in service, unfortunately the girl doing my hair move far away. I booked with a Director for colour and hair cut, she didn’t had time to do my haircut and send me to a different lady and she was an apprentice didn’t cut my hair only trim, and the style she gave me made me cry. I did complain and the colourist apologised but they still charge my haircut as a director price. Honestly I can cut my hair better myself. They also offered something to drink and never come.
I hope my next visit is better.

I just didn’t feel spoilt , after 20 odd years I just felt like an old punter , sadly I used to feel so spoilt and I still save hard for the treat of having my hair cut and coloured but the overall atmosphere just wasn’t there. No soap in the toilet, drips on the wall, no candle flickering and nice sensory smells , music was not relaxing , at one point it got truly noisy and a bit overwhelming. The hair advice was good initially but I got left after that ,not knowing what was applied and I felt it was age based advice not necessarily looking at me, the result was ‘ nice, safe’ but I sort of like a bit of zest when I spend ! Full marks to the hairdresser- she cared the shop just looks and feels a bit tired

It’s my second time getting my hair done here. Greg is very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. He listened to what I wanted and did exactly just that. I’m very happy with the results!

I went in for a balayage and cut by millie and she was excellent at her skills! She understood exactly what i wanted and I loved how my hair turned out and i will absolutely be going back to her again.

As ever Nicole did an exceptional job. Always welcoming, listens to what I’m after and delivers just that. The care and time she takes gives great results every time. So happy with my colour and cut. Nicole is so creative. Thank you.

Been going to Urban Therapy for many years always a welcoming and relaxing experience. Laura always does an amazing job of cutting/colouring my hair and can highly recommend.

As always, Alex W was amazing and discussed ideas with my 13 year old daughter as she wasn’t sure how much to have cut off. It’s always the best experience and we wouldn’t go anywhere else 🙂
