I managed to get a same day appointment with Amy . I had previously had a disastrous short haircut elsewhere about 4 months ago and although my hair was growing back I was quite unhappy with it and it. It made me feel really dowdy and “old”.
I explained to Amy what I was aiming for long term. She listened to my concerns and suggested how we could remedy my current style and move forward.
Amy then proceeded to cut and restyle my hair . I was delighted with the result and even this morning my hair fell into shape with very little attention required.
Amazing how a good hair cut with lots of care and attention can really lift one’s mood. Thank you .

I struggled to find a good stylist for my short hair, most lacked consistency. I can always rely on Jane for a great hair style and highlights. She is also very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend her.

My hair is perfect! She has done exactly what I asked for from the cut to the colour and styling. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure every detail was just right. The result is even better than I imagined and I couldn’t be happier with it. The atmosphere in the salon was fabulous – really friendly, welcoming and relaxing from the moment I walked in. I felt completely comfortable and well looked after the whole time. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great salon experience! I arrive at the salon with lots in my head sometimes and with the weight of worries but I leave feeling so much better and fabulous hair cut too ! Staff are incredibly friendly , polite and caring and very professional . Would highly recommend

Very disappointed experience .This was my second visit ( I have been before to yarm and left it a few years before I went back again due to the same experience as this time). First experience was great, stylist was very attentive and apart from someone else washing hair she stayed throughout and the blow dry was lovely and lasted. This time felt very rushed, her attention was elsewhere. After putting my colour on she then went on to do someone else’s hair. I then had someone to wash my hair, which wasn’t very pleasant. She had to go and ask the hairdresser what toner she wanted on my hair ( lack of communication). IShe put the toner on my hair and I was just told you can sit up or lay backward “its up to you” and I was left there - no explanation as to how long.. After washing my hair she asked if I wanted a head massage to which I said yes, but it’s one of the worst I have ever had, she too was distracted and it felt like she didn’t want to be doing it. She then took me back to my seat and asked how I wanted it blow dried. I explained and she proceeded. She was so rough and it was not dried like I had had it previously. The original stylist came back at the very end and finished one last piece off. My hair was still damp (it frizzes as soon as you go outside when like this). It was just awful that I couldn’t wait to get out and then had to go home and style it again. When you are paying extortion prices you expect it to be done right. There was also no customer service in information of how to look after hair which has highlights in.

I've been going to Jane since 1990. She knows my hair better than I do. Over the years I have had silver beads, plaited braids, and ringlets for my wedding. I count her as a friend!

Never disappointed with results at Saks Yarm. The staff take time to discuss what I want and listen. All very friendly and although I am a regular with Amy P, I happily let any of the other stylists cut my hair.
