This was my first visit to Saks, Northallerton but it certainly won’t be my last. Erin did a fabulous job with my highlights, and cut. I’m very happy with my new “do”! Erin was first rate, I hate having my hair washed as a rule as it is often an uncomfortable experience. Total opposite with Erin and lovely head massage thrown in. She really took her time cutting and styling my hair. Altogether great service will definitely be a return customer.

I’m so pleased with my hair, I had hi lights, my root regrowth was awful and I really thought that it would be impossible to get my hair back to a decent colour. Erin completely transformed my dull, shabby hair. After years of mediocre hair colours at another salon- which always ended in me scratching my head for days and poor result's- I’m so glad that I have finally found a truly talented stylist who talks you through each process gives great advice but also has revived my hair and done a great job- whoever trained Erin you need to take a bow - she is an amazing and talented colourist and stylist.
Lloyd has been cutting my hair for several years now. He knows what I like but makes useful suggestions. He has a keen eye for detail, which is evidenced in the precise cut. Wouldn't go to anyone else. The salon is busy but everyone is very friendly. Love getting the reminders a few days before. Can highly recommend.

My daughter and I had such a lovely experience at the salon. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — the team went out of their way to make my little girl feel special. She was even offered a hot chocolate with marshmallows, which absolutely made her day!
Alex and Niamh were both wonderful with her, really patient and kind. They even made adjustments so she could have her hair washed next to me, which was such a thoughtful touch. Her haircut was great and she came away feeling so proud and confident.
My own stylist was fantastic too — she really listened to what I wanted, explained everything clearly, and made great suggestions without being pushy. She mentioned extensions (which I’ve had before, though not at Saks) but was very understanding when I explained why I wouldn’t continue with them. I actually appreciated that she handled it so gracefully — a lovely example for my daughter that it’s okay to love the hair you’re given!
The treatment (I think it was called Kerasomething!) was brilliant — my hair feels and looks so much healthier.
If I had to give any feedback, it would be that the salon itself could do with a little TLC — a missing shelf in front of one of the mirrors and steamed-up windows gave it a slightly tired look. That said, the atmosphere was warm, busy, and friendly.
The only real surprise was the price — £101 for less than an hour (a wash, cut, and blow dry for us both, plus my treatment). Maybe I’m just out of touch with salon prices, but it did feel on the expensive side.
Overall though, we left feeling pampered and happy — a lovely experience, especially for my daughter. 💇♀️💖
