A lovely salon experience as ever, the massages and glass of wine complete the experience, especially when you have been running around and then just collapse in the chair. Chloe is by far the best hairdresser I have ever had, she always listens and is interested in me.

Having been a client for many years now I would never consider going elsewhere. From the moment you walk into the salon, your experience begins, being welcomed so professionally with a friendly smile you’re escorted to your chair and the pampering begins. An amazing complementary head and shoulder massage. After which you’re chilled and ready for your consultation from your stylist. Throughout which you are given the opportunity to say exactly what your idea of a style, colour or both you have in mind. Following on from this your stylist will advise, suggest, showing colour charts, every minute you know and feel that you are being heard and your requirements are provided. Throughout the whole duration of your visit to the salon you are continually offered a wide range of complementary beverages. As I say they think of everything. Massages during your Shampooing & Conditioning your hair upstairs and the opportunity of having a further excellent massage in a quiet , tranquil and dimly lit area with scented candles is just the icing on the cake. Every member of the team is polite, friendly, professional and are all there for the same goal.... to provide a very special experience for every client... whether it is your 1st or your 31st visit to the salon. The level of professionalism and experience is outstanding. I long for my visit to Contemporary in Harrogate as Gemma and the entire team go above and beyond to ensure every client enjoy their visit and can’t wait to return .

Brillent as ever ?

It was my first visit and I was nervous as I wanted lots of hair cutting off and dying from blonde to pink. Stephen made me feel relaxed very quickly and did a fantastic job with my cut and colour. He spent lots of time making sure he knew exactly what I wanted, which I appreciated.

It really was the most relaxing treat....of the week, if not month! Despite apparent ‘tap’difficulties & other stuff - nothing impinged on three gorgeous massages (Libby), Stephen’s total attention & brilliant cut & colour as usual - bliss! Thank you, fantastic team!

I've been messing Stephen & Contemporary around for ten years now; rebooking appointments, missing appointments and calling in for a haircut with no appointment. The team are only ever friendly and helpful, and continue to put up with me. Stephen understands his clients needs well; he is both experienced and talented in his work. He has suggested styles I hadn't considered, which shows he thinks about what is in fashion, but to add to this he understands his clients lives/professions, and works that into the styles he suggests. It's that difference in understanding his customers and applying his skills which makes him an excellent stylist.

Walking into a hairdressers can be a bit daunting I think, but not here. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming at Contemporary. I’ve been going there for years and am very happy.

Being a new mum, I now can't always get my hair done as often as I like and Sian gets that. I don't ever feel pressured or feel as though I'm getting sold products or Extra services (as some salons are hard selling)

Sian is always my go to for my hair- from blonde balayage, to chocolate brunette to fiery copper! She has got my colour perfect every single time. She always has a chat with me before hand, letting me know her plan and checking I’m 100% happy with it. She always shows me colour examples and explains the process of what she’s doing as she goes along. Her massages are amazing and relaxing and it’s one of the things that contributes to the amazing experience that I always have with her. I see Stephen every 4 weeks or so, he is fantastic - never any complaints with my haircut. I have very thick hair and in the past ive always left the salon feeling "it will be fine in a couple of weeks" - not with Stephen - always spot on & highly recommend
