Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe how happy I am with the experience I had at Voodou. I was a little nervous, as I hadn’t had my hair cut or coloured in quite some time. However, Frankie went above and beyond from start to finish.

She carefully talked me through the entire process and really helped calm my nerves about the daunting prospect of cutting my hair. I felt constantly reassured and completely at ease, and most importantly, I felt that my thoughts and requests were genuinely listened to throughout.

All of the staff are really friendly, and although it was busy, there was such a lovely buzz in the salon. You can really tell that everyone works together and supports one another.

I would also like to recognise Liv, the assistant stylist at Voodoo Liverpool, who looked after me during my recent visit.

During the hair wash, Liv was particularly attentive, carefully checking the water temperature and making sure everything felt comfortable. Her touch was gentle and controlled, and the whole experience felt calm and well looked after.

What impressed me most, however, was her demeanour. Liv carries herself with a quiet confidence and comes across as genuinely eager to learn and develop her craft. We had a really engaging conversation about her ambitions within the hairdressing profession, and I was struck by her focus and maturity.

It was also clear that, under Danny’s guidance, she is absorbing a great deal and building strong foundations for her future.

In my view, Liv has a very bright future ahead of her. With her professionalism, attitude, and willingness to grow, she will undoubtedly become a valuable asset to any salon fortunate enough to have her on their team.

I recently had the pleasure of receiving both a haircut and colour treatment from Holly at Voodoo Liverpool, and I left thoroughly impressed.

From the moment I took my seat, Holly created an atmosphere of ease and reassurance. The appointment never felt hurried; rather, it was evident that she was genuinely invested in achieving the best possible result for me. Our conversation flowed naturally, making the entire experience both relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable.

What distinguished Holly most was the depth of her professional knowledge. She demonstrated a clear and confident understanding of coloured hair, carefully explaining the factors that contribute to colour fade, the common sources of damage, and the practical steps I should take at home to maintain the finish. Importantly, her guidance felt considered and personalised, never remotely like a sales pitch.

The colour itself was excellent — natural, fresh, and more flattering than I had anticipated. Holly also discussed my hair regrowth efforts and the shampoo I have been using, and she was able to assess, simply by examining my hair, that it is working effectively. I found this particularly reassuring.

The precision of the cut brought the whole look together perfectly.

My only difficulty now is a pleasant one: I have previously booked with Danny at Voodoo, who is also outstanding, and I now find myself genuinely undecided about whom to choose for my next appointment.

A superb atmosphere, engaging conversation, and a stylist of evident expertise. Thank you, Holly — I shall certainly return.

I recently had my hair cut and coloured by Holly at Voodoo Liverpool and came away genuinely impressed.

From the moment I sat down she made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. Nothing felt rushed — it felt like she actually cared about getting everything right for me. We chatted about loads of different things which made the whole appointment really enjoyable and easy.

What really stood out was her knowledge. Holly clearly understands coloured hair. She explained how colour fades, what damages it, and what I should be doing differently at home to keep it looking good for longer. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch at all — just honest advice tailored to my hair.

The colour itself turned out brilliant. Exactly what I wanted, natural looking and fresh, and it suited me better than I’d pictured in my head. She also talked through hair regrowth and the shampoo I’ve been using, and was able to comment on how well it’s working just by looking at my hair. That actually made me really happy because it confirmed I’m on the right track.

And the cut finished it perfectly.

My only problem now… I’ve previously gone to Danny at Voodoo who is also great — and now I genuinely don’t know who to book with next time!

Great atmosphere, great conversation, and a stylist who clearly knows her craft. Thanks Holly — I’ll definitely be back.

It was my second time visiting the salon with the lovely Rene cutting my hair again. I have short hair and in the past I have had some shocking haircuts! Rene has been great at explaining how my hair grows and the best way to style it. I can honestly say that it is the best hair cut I have had and Rene is so lovely and makes me feel very comfortable. Hayley is not just a brilliant hairdresser who makes me look a hundred times better than I can ever do myself with fantastic cuts that suit me eveelry time, she's also a fantastic person. Not every hairdresser tells you funny stories and genuinely laughs at your crap ones and then buys you cake to celebrate a big birhday! All round top person.
Just don't book her out. I need to be able to get a slot!!
