I’ve been coming back to Hayley for around 3 years now, she was the first person to ever dye my hair, and i went from brunette to reddd - she really reassured me during my initial consultation and was so professional (i was v apprehensive and picky)! Ever since that first dye, i’ve been going back for her to dye my hair all different shades of red/dark aubergine kinda colour/copper w diff colour styles too! For over a year now i’ve been living in Bristol, and i make the journey to come get my hair done, i don’t trust anyone like Hayley lol and my hair is still soooo healthy, glossy and even when it grows out a lil between session, my roots have blended so nicely so i don’t look crazy at all!! She’s the most talented and detail oriented artist i’ve ever had and i don’t see myself going to anyone else! What an angel 💛

The price was twice as much as what I paid at my old salon but the experience here was ten times better. No waiting. I was given a private room as requested. Service was excellent, place was very clean.

My only gripe was that I had trouble booking with the online system but that was rectified quite easily after I contacted them on Whatsapp

The place itself is not bad, however I dint enjoy the results. My hairdresser was cold and dismissive of what I wanted. I wanted a drastic change, but left with minimal changes. I didn't felt I was heard or what I wanted was taken into account. All in all it was really general service which was very expensive. I could have gotten the same thing at college salon 4x times cheaper. Very disappointed as its such a popular salon. It was my first time but I won't be coming back. I'm already looking for another salon that will help me with alternative hairstyle and listen to me better. Such a shame. I'm starting uni in few weeks and wanted to add some extra confidence for myself. Disappointed.

I've been going to Frankie for barbering since early last year, after a friend recommended the salon as a safe space for queer people. As a trans & genderqueer person, I love that the salon is welcoming and inclusive. Frankie is friendly and very accepting and cuts my hair however I want it, while making helpful suggestions. We chat about various things and I look forward to my regular visits!

They have clearly thought about making it a safe and inclusive space, for example clients can book barbers or hairdressers regardless of their gender, just going by their needs. The salon is bright and often busy, but there are quiet and private areas available for those who need it. I'd recommend this salon to all my trans (and non-trans!) friends.

Frankie is one of the best at Voodou. She cuts my teen daughter's hair, and is a ray of sunshine. She listens carefully to my daughter, has a clear and honest discussion about what a cut might look like, including visual cues and gives my daughter huge confidence in her look. Frankie is also really efficient, and the cut is really well-executed. I would recommend her in a heartbeat without thinking twice.
