First visit since Lockdown restrictions lifted and the salon staff have gone above and beyond to make clients safe and comfortable. It was lovely to see Amy again and I can't believe the wonderful transformation she has achieved with my hair. So thoroughly chuffed with the result. Thank you so much.

Jess managed to wash & restyle my 'Troll' type shaggy mop into a more than acceptable short pixie with ease and confidence - I'm very pleased/happy with the result

Just had my long awaited colour done with my hairdresser Jodie and it’s safe to say I’m one happy gal right now! It looks and feels amazing and I am booked up for my weekly blow dry until September and I am thrilled to ribbons!! Jodie is my weekly therapy for my soul as well
As my hair and both my hair and me don’t know what we would do without her! She is always a joy to spend the afternoons with and I would follow her always, a wealth of knowledge awaits you and the salon gives a warm and welcoming feel to it even in these unprecedented times. Despite wearing a mask through out which does feel odd (but both mine and your safety is paramount so accept this) we were still able to have our usual chat and I felt totally at home and safe so thank you and can’t wait to see you again.

Went for dramatic change, was not disappointed just LOVE it made me a very happy lady. The whole time was all done with safety very much in mind, in these strange times.

Mr Fox and his amazing team have everything in place to keep all safe, but it certainly does not detract from the second to none treatment you receive.

Visited salon today and didnt know what to expect.But carl greeted me at the door and explained what was going to happen. Under the circumstances it was a brilliant experience as usual i felt so relaxed Georgia cut and blow dried my hair and i felt a new person when i left my hair was transformed. The cleanliness of the salon was exceptional. They all work as a team and make you feel so relaxed.

Had my first appointment today since they re opening of the salon . Wow, the team nailed it . All restrictions in place with no fuss and absolute professionalism.

Started with a warm welcome and an attentive, friendly hairdresser. She listened to exactly what I wanted and did a fantastic job. There was even a beautiful free gift with the product purchase which was appreciated. The salon was clean, nicely laid out and very accommodating. Highly recommended!
From beginning to end, a lovely experience. Friendly staff, didn't feel intimated, gorgeous head massage after shampoo. Cut was spot on, was exactly what I wanted. I wish this salon every success and good health!

However! Carl, you need to get your finger out and get your Hinckley salon up to a standard your staff deserve. The coffee machine is still not working, which it wasn’t on my last visit meaning your staff are only able to offer a limited amount of refreshments. The smoke alarm went off several times while I was there which was remedied by a member of staff poking it with a brush handle and the front door being opened for a few minutes, which incidentally I was sat beside. Finally, prior to my final treatment being washed off the boiler stopped producing hot water and the kettle had to be boiled to fill a jug to do the final rinse. I find this totally unacceptable and no doubt some embarrassment for your wonderful staff and all for a final bill of £122. Carl, I really think you need to address these issues if you want to charge for a top class service.
Moria, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry that you experienced a number of issues and felt the need to bring them to my attention.
Let me go through these for you and give an explanation. I can assure you that this is not a case of me "needing to get my finger out". Looking at your record card you bill was £111 for services and £11 for retail items. For the services that you received, root colour, partial highlights, olaplex and a cut & finish we believe this represents excellent value for money. However, I take your points on board and apologise that your visit wasn't up to our normal excellent level of service.
1. The commercial coffee machine is under a maintenance contract, and has been looked at twice in recent weeks. The part required is out of stock. This has been ordered but is coming from the manufacturer overseas. A fire at the factory has caused a delay in production. We are offering a far from limited hot drinks menu: coffee prepared with freshly ground beans from my own bean to cup (from home), decaffeinated coffee served in a cafetière, hot chocolate, and a selection of teas including english breakfast, earl grey, decaffeinated, peppermint, blueberry, lemon & ginger, rooibos, camomile to name but a few. The only thing we have no facility for at present is steaming milk for cappuccino or latte.
2. The property is mixed use, there are two flats on the first floor and a neighbouring commercial property. By law all fire detectors within the property have to be linked. If the alarm sounded in the salon, it is likely that it was caused by a tenant in the properties above. I will ask the managing agents to investigate when they reopen. We can silence the alarm in the salon by pressing and holding the button, similar to a domestic smoke alarm.
3. Hot water, I can but apologise. We have a 180 litre hot water tank specifically designed for hair salons. , I have visited the salon following your feedback; the hot water tank has two emersion heating elements, one of the timers appeared to be showing the wrong time, presumably following a power outage. This has now been reset and both heating elements are working simultaneously.

This was my first visit to Fox Hair Design in Barwell. If you are ever thinking of changing your hair salon then I would highly recommend Fox Hair Design in Barwell. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Jodie sat down and asked my about my hair and what I would like today. I was made to feel welcome and really relaxed. I don’t get my hair cut as often as I should but will definitely be going back. For my first visit I received a welcome gift which I love. Thank you so much and see you soon x
Such a lovely friendly welcoming despite popping to the wrong salon. Joseph was friendly and professional. He was quite gentle with my hair and you can see how passionate he is in his work. Another appointment has already been made, this could be my new hair salon.
