Totally blown away by the kindness of your receptionist when I did something rather out of character and explained to your receptionist that my son of 15 who is suffering some mental health problems & had recently attempted something very scary…. Obviously he is getting all the help from outside agencies we can get but as his mum I knew he had been complaining his hair was becoming a nuisance/needed a cut etc… it’s curly and he wants to grow it longer but I know from being a client of Zoe’s and shine myself that someone at shine would provide him with a better cut than his usual short back and sides salon….
Despite my pretty shocking behaviour at attempting to get him an appointment (bit rude dropping such sensitive information on your receptionist & Helene but as a shocked terrified mum willing to do anything to make him feel good I thought sod it and just told them both. Bit unfair on both ladies and not my best manners but I felt I could say without judgement) and I was right both ladies took the information in their stride….. your receptionist getting my son an appointment with a senior stylist the next day! And Helene wasn’t phased by my uncomfortable news about my son. I just wanted him to feel good about his slightly unruly hair and himself. Helene and your receptionist were fantastic. Everyone at shine always provide 10/10 service. I love Zoe doing my hair and I've tried to keep up with her despite moving away from the area 3 years ago. But following Helene & the receptionists performance I felt compelled to write and say thank you so much. You made a completely terrified mum and a young man struggling feel looked after and I certainly felt the ladies went “the extra mile” for us. Much appreciated. Please tell them I said so.

I can’t recommend Emily enough always cuts my hair exactly how I want every time. Makes you feel comfortable.

Another fab haircut from Claire. Cut stays in shape until next visit. Claire is brilliant at making my thick hair more manageable.

This was the 2nd time my little boy had an amazing haircut from Billie. She is so attentive and takes her time to make sure it’s exactly what me and my little boy wanted. Definitely would recommend and coming back for his next haircut.

Having have my hair cut and blow dry with Charlie I can only say she is an expert, I come back for weekly blow drys she is so good, and she tells me how to use products and how to style my hair, she is just the best.

Very friendly atmosphere on arrival. Chloe was excellent at explaining each product she was using and why, and each step of my styling she checked it was what I wanted. I would recommend this salon.

Chloe coloured my hair today and I love it, before she started we discussed what I liked and decided to continue with the colour I’d had previously. She was able to looks this up from the notes they had made last time. It looks stunning, I’m so happy.
Billie then followed with a cut, Billie and I spoke before my colour, about the texture, length and condition of my hair and talked about my issues with it and what I’d like to have done. She did an amazing job, I left feeling great.
As with all the girls at Shine, great work.
Shine really is a salon where I can trust and relax. I honestly do not mind which member of staff does my hair as they all do an excellent job.
