After doing quite a bit of research I decided to give Studio 10 a try. I have recently moved to this area and I didn’t have a clue which salon would suit me. As soon as I walked in Ian the owner greeted me with a smile while doing a great looking ladies cut. I had an appointment straight away for my colour the next day and he then fitted me into his busy Saturday schedule. For a cut with him.
Ian is very focused and I left the salon with the best hair cut I have had in a very long time. He showed me how to blow dry my hair, which was a revelation. He listened to what I wanted and all I can say is I will be back. I’m also thrilled with the colour. I highly recommend this salon.

I started to see Georgia because of the curly hair recommendations online. I’ve had curly hair cuts that haven’t quite been right for me and over getting to know me and my hair, Georgia now knows how to cut it but it’s not a traditional curly cut. She uses all her knowledge to work out what my hair needs and I don’t think I’ve ever had a hair dresser to do that before. I’m 40 (+)! Highly recommend!
I visited Studio 10 for the first time today and had a curly cut with Becca, it was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Walking into a salon for the first time can sometimes feel a bit intimidating but it was the opposite, warm and friendly. Becca was amazing, took her time to explain each step of the way and could see exactly how she knew my hair would look best. Professional and lovely too. I’m so happy and would recommend to any other curly girls out there! I’ll definitely be back, thank you Becca
I am so pleased to have found Studio 10 and Georgia. I have curly hair and Georgia is so skilled in curly cutting. The cut lasts really well and I my curls again. The salon is lovely and I always feel very welcome and looked after.
The staff were absolutely lovely and the salon was pristine but my haircut was nothing short of disappointing. Despite showing an array of inspiration photos , and repeatedly mentioning throughout the session the features I wished to have included , the end result was not even comparable. Firstly , every picture that I showed included some sort of bang / fringe yet somehow I ended up with the shortest part of my hair still being past my chin? Despite constant questioning I was told that I was in fact being given face framing layers , not the slightest bit evident in the end result. My hair is somehow worse than it looked before , many inches shorter with not an ounce of shape to it despite my overarching comment being ‘more volume on the top please , I feel as thought my hair really lacks shape to it’. Not only that but the overall ‘layers’ I was promised are also not visible , I have essentially been given two very distinct tiers of hair rather than the multitude of layers shown in the pictures. Overall I am extremely disappointed and I feel as though the price , for what has been a large chop into a what is basically a square on my head , is extortionate. I feel as though my wishes were completely ignored and so the ‘consultation’ was basically useless. Leaving the salon with hair worse than I entered with wasn’t what I was hoping for , will not be returning any time soon.
Ian at Studio 10 in St Albans is an extremely professional and friendly hairdresser. The atmosphere in the salon is always warm and welcoming, and Ian always takes the time to listen and give great advice. I’m always delighted with my hair when I leave and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended!
Been really down about my hair and wanted a change. Becca made me feel at ease as soon as she started my consultation; listened to what I wanted but offered advice about what would look best with my hair and its natural wave. Was enthralled watching her cut my hair with such precision; you can tell she loves her job. Came out feeling a million dollars with so much confidence and it was all down to her. All the rest of the staff were friendly and polite and made me feel welcome. Looking forward to going back

Had my hair cut by Georgia and I’m very pleased with the results. I usually have to rewash or make changes to my hair after the hairdresser but I didn’t need to do any of that this time. She is very good.

Had the best colour I’ve ever had today - grey blending and a cut with the absolutely lovely Hattie. I was struggling with previous colour (from elsewhere) that had a lot of brassiness to it, and wanted to get back to a more natural colour that embraces my greys and try to grow out my hair without a harsh demarcation line. Hattie took me through everything, made sure we were on the same page and then worked her magic. Hattie is very talented and precise, and a really lovely person to chat to. Honestly I couldn’t be happier. Thank you! Xx

Georgia was fab - not only did she give me a great haircut, but she gave me a load of (cheap and easy) tips and tricks to styling my hair at home. A real game changer for me - I used to just tie up my hair every day, but I’ve had it down every day since I saw Georgia!

My daughter and I both had Georgia do our hair. She worked with me to get just the right color and cut and my daughters hair turned out great as well.
My daughter is very nervous about getting her hair cut and rarely goes to a hairdresser but Georgia made her so comfortable and loved her new hair cut and the salon! Said would be going back !

If you are looking for a hairstylist, who can comprehend your perfect hair vision, then you must visit Studio10! I had an amazing experience there. Since I have long hair, I do not trust easily with any hairstylist, but on my first visit at Studio10, I was delighted with the results. Perfect haircut by Ms. Hattie! 10/10! 💫 :-).

This was my 2nd visit to Studio 10 after a number of friends recommended the salon. All the staff are so friendly and there is a genuinely happy vibe to the place. Rebecca did a great job colouring my hair & I really appreciated the fact that she didn’t talk me into additional services which she could have easily done (& has happened in other salons) Ian cut my hair and I LOVE his work. He’s also very entertaining & a good laugh which adds to the fab atmosphere of the salon. The prices are very competitive too. I’m so pleased I listened to the recommendations from my friends and I would 100% Studio 10
