Avant Garde Hair Salon Hereford, Herefordshire

First time visiting today and Carol was amazing and made me feel welcome and at home! She got to know me and my hair and gave me an amazing cut and I feel like a revitalised woman!

I usually have Carol who is fantastic, but she was fully booked so I booked with Kelly. I wasn't altogether happy in the salon as it looked quite flat and I did ask if she could give it a bit more volume. She suggested backcombing which I didn't want so she just pushed it up a bit. Now, this evening it's really flat and straight and will need some help in the morning to look better. Usually I don't need to do anything to it for 5 or 6 days so I'm a bit disappointed really.

Great service and the best cut I have had in years. Lovely girl very chatty which I love cannot remember her name but had red hair. Clean salon and a great coffee too. I was a walk in and was given an appointment within half hour. Would highly recommend this salon and will be using again.

I called into the salon for the first time today around 12 to enquire about an appointment and I was offered a same day appointment at 13:30 by a friendly welcoming team at the reception desk. Carol and I spent a few minutes looking at a style which I had on my phone, then Carol got to work to execute the cut. I was really pleased with the results, the cut looked great, my hair was soft, with no sticky residue. Carol complimented me on my natural silver colour, which I love. As a first time customer I was offered a discount on the cost, which is always welcome and I have already made another appointment.

Explained and done my hair hair as I wanted and gave me a lovely treatment to bring my hair back to life. Loved my first visit, I will be booking in with Beth again. Highly recommend bet to anyone. Beth went above and beyond as a hair dressers. Loving the massage chair and a head massage also while having my hair washed.

The staff at avant Garde were super helpful from chatting over my daughters dream hair cut when booking to ensuring we were matched with the right stylist. Carol took great care and attention listening to her likes and dislikes and working with her to restyle her hair. Carol was friendly and approachable and clearly very talented. Carol did a wonderful job on my hair. She took time cutting it and my hair was transformed into a lovely sleek bob before my eyes. Thank you Carol as this was my first appointment with her and she did an excellent cut and blow dry.

Great. Usual friendly and professional service at a very reasonable price. Trainees offer good value for money and everone has to learn and that's what I sign up for. Please get the door fixed as soon as possible as it makes the salon even colder.

I booked an appointment online and turned up for the appointment but discovered due to sickness it had been cancelled, I had received a text message but I don't tend to have my phone on so wasn't aware of it, however the staff in the Salon found someone who was in between her appointments to fit me in and she did an excellent job.

I booked for a blowdry, I had a blast dry and curling tongs by a girl who absolutely did not want to be there and did not care what happened. Would not recommend!

The person cutting my hair was lovely, however I was very, very disappointed with my haircut. It wasn’t at all what I asked for, and has left me extremely upset and insecure as it is too short to do anything at all with, i honestly haven’t ever felt worse.

Lovely clean place, staff r very friendly and welcoming, Lucy and Beth/becky (SORRY I CANT REMEMBER) were amazing provided exactly what I wanted the results are beautiful totally recommend

Had some issues with hair loss recently and therefore stayed away from the hairdresser. While in town last week, I dropped in on the off chance and Abbey was not only able to make the time to cut my hair, but she did such a great job, it restored my confidence and made me feel good - Thanks Abbey 👍🏻

Have been having my hair cut at Avant Garde for 4 or 5 years and have always been pleased with the cut. They take time to talk about what you want and will offer helpful suggestions and advice. Service is always good.
