Came for my first hair cut today with Hair Ott. Staff were vet pleasant and helpful and I felt COVID safe. Love the hair cut too

Just what the doctor ordered ! From the moment you enter this beautifully appointed salon, you fell well looked after. Many years ago , before I moved abroad , I was a client at Otto’s Portsmouth salon. That was a cut above the rest (no excuses for the pun) and this Whitely Salon carries on his tradition of great haircuts, undivided attention and courtesy. My stylist , Lucy, is a lovely girl, easy to chat with, listens to you attentively and cuts well.. So I am one very pleased customer.

I am usually nervous in hairdressers as a lot can go wrong with my hair and have had disastrous results in the past. Penny put me at ease immediately and I am delighted with the result and the plan going forward!

I came to the salon with a picture of a new hairstyle and Lucy adapted it to suit me and my hair. I am very pleased with the result.

First haircut in a long time and Cordelle was fantastic. She spent time getting to know my requirements and did a really great job. Thank you Cordelle.

Perfect as always. Ellie always knows exactly what I want every time. She is always polite and friendly and very knowledgeable when I need advice. It is always a pleasure to visit you!

I decided to visit Hair OTT after my sister had her hair cut the previous week by Lucy and thought she did such a fab job! Lucy was amazing, gave such great advice and listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me the most stunning cut and style. 100% will be visiting again when im in need of a trim!

After five months of regrowth, I feel like me again.

First time with cordelle, very professional, spend time talking to me and explaining what she was doing. Very pleased with my haircut, and have already booked my next appointment with cordelle.

LOVE IT! I’ve gone from long and heavy to short and shaggy. A big change and I was nervous but Patrick was really professional and honest about what would and wouldn’t work. Lots of styling tips and demos given so that I can play around and mix it up at home too. Really excited to show it off!
Also the chat and banter was great, added to a lovely ‘me time’ morning...Thank you x

Completely disappointed! I’ve been going to Hair Ott for over 20 years and this was the worst experience from start to finish. The chair was tatty, the colourist was snappy, I was offered one drink the 4hours time I was there. I was left for 45 minutes with cold damp hair and a wet back. I was in the salon for cut and colour and the colour is awful. The colour is not what I asked for. I don’t recommend and will not be returning.

I was really looking forward to having my hair done after waiting for so long due to lockdown. I had a full head of highlights done and asked for it to look as blonde and icy as possibly however my hair colour looks exactly the same as it did before I had it done. After spending £128 I am very disappointed that i am still wanting to go get my hair coloured again elsewhere. The hair stylist who did my hair did not speak to me once after asking me what I wanted done, I thought this was terrible service and very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hair salon. I feel I have wasted my money. My family and friends have also said my hair looks no different.

Jess always knows what I mean even when I don’t describe things quite right. I trust her absolutely with my colours to get a subtle, natural look that grows out really nicely and isn’t very obvious. She also always remembers exactly how I like it styled and dried - I’ve been going for a few years now and I never worry about it. She’s also lso very gentle with the hair/head, doesnt push products but will explain them if asked - and gives sensible options/advice on how to do certain techniques at home.

Great with children, quick and professional. My six year old LOVES going and it means I don’t do a hair wash for those few days.

It was so lovely to be back in the salon! From the first step inside everyone was friendly and welcoming. Lucy and I chatted about my hair and agreed a plan of action and the end result was lovely. I felt like a new person. A great experience as ever.

Well what can I say came in nervous, left feeling completely listened to by Jess and happy that I can do my hair at home like Jess did. Fine hair now feels thick and looks great. Will never go anywhere else.

After a long lockdown it was lovely to treat myself and feel like I’m back to being my pre lockdown self. Lucy and the team were so friendly and helpful!

Had a great covid safe visit to HairOTT today. All the staff are lovely, especially Lucy. I showed her a couple of pictures of different styles and she advised me which one would suit my face shape. She gave me a fabulous new hairstyle in a beautiful cream blonde colour. I have been going to this salon for years and can't fault it.

Love going to get my hair done by Lucy. Always a super positive experience that brightens my day! The staff are all lovely and chatty. They always know exactly what I want and do it perfectly. I always ask loads of questions and they happily reply and give me great advice to keep my hair nice. The prices are good and I always come out feeling happy X

I have recently moved and was recommended OTT. I notoriously hate getting my hair cut as I've never had a good experience, but I can safely say I have a new outlook! Laura was friendly and took the time to get to know my likes and dislikes with my hair and how I wore it day to day. My hair being thick and long, often I find hairdressers see it as a burden (sighs included!)but Laura made me feel at ease and I felt very welcome. I am so pleased with the final finish and I highly recommend OTT, Whiteley for anyone looking for a high quality service from start to finish.

I was fortunate to be seen by both Lucy and Chloe in the brand new Whiteley Salon, it's the first time either ladies have coloured my hair and I wanted a natural brown with a few gold highlights, after I had ruined my hair myself in lockdown with self dyes etc. My hair has changed over the years and lately it has developed a strong natural warm undertone. Initially, after my visit I felt my roots were still a touch too warm. This was not a problem at all with these beautiful ladies, I was seen the very next morning for a consultation to look at the result and see how we could achieve the desired affect. I am delighted that I was seen in the same week and the desired colour was achieved perfectly. They both did a wonderful job! You never quite know how a new colour will take to an individual's hair and I am delighted to say that as always, Hair Ott cared and nurtured me throughout. Thank you all from front desk to Saturday girls. It's always a pleasure to be pampered with you all. I have been with hair ott since 2012 and there is no other salon I will trust with my hair. Quite disappointed, not sure I will be back. Have been coming to hair ott for a long time and did not expect to be made to feel how I was. My hair colour did not turn out how I wanted at the roots and I was made to feel uncomfortable because I wasn’t happy. I only asked for it to be rectified and the hair dresser was upset because I said something. I should be able to say if I’m not happy with the result and it should be dealt with professionally but wasn’t.
