Chopp is such a great salon, friendly and welcoming and second to none for the amazing service and skills of the team. Having tried a lot of other local salons before Chopp, I wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

Dan's hairdressing skills are second to none, first rate, talented, skilled, thoughtful and listens to his clients unique needs. His colour and cutting skills are stand out and he produces quality beautiful work every time. Fantastic Salon, all staff are amazing, I especially love Christie, she an brilliant front of house, one of the best. All really good people and I feel very comfortable and relaxed when at the salon. A wonderful first time proper haircut experience for my 6 year old daughter

I had such a lovely (and quite refreshing) experience with Reece, coming to him for the first time on a recommendation. He really took the time to understand what I wanted from my haircut and what I would normally do with my hair to make sure it would look great styled or just with minimal effort. He also gave me great tips on how to use products (that I already had at home) and how to properly use the diffuser when drying my hair and at no point did it feel like a rushed appointment. Free fringe trims offered which is always a winner when you don’t quite need a full hair cut yet but your fringe is getting annoying, so I’ll definitely be booking in for one of those too before seeing Reece again soon. Overall he is an asset to your lovely salon :-) I’m not sure who, but someone also made me a very good cup of tea, which is a rarity, so thank you to that person too! Your reception staff were also very friendly.

My only complaint would’ve been that the hair towels had quite a damp smell to them, like they’d been put away while still wet - totally understandable with the amount of washing I imagine they do, but not so nice when it’s round your neck/on your head.

I had my third visit to Chopp and I was not disappointed! Reece has done some amazing highlights followed by Leah for another great cut & finish! Always a pleasure attending the salon!

So, I freely admit that I’m a nightmare when it comes to haircuts. I’m overly particular, I’m bad at articulating what I want, and if I’m unhappy with the result of a cut, I (shamefully) usually never go back to that hairdresser. I am a nightmare.

It’s with this in mind that has made me realise that Paul at Chopp is some sort of miracle worker. I’ve never felt more comfortable, more listened to, and more professionally advised. After years of being unhappy with my hair, it finally looks how I’ve wanted it for probably a decade. Paul and the whole crew at Chopp are bloody miracle workers, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

A great haircut as usual with some good chat that wasn’t just small talk. Always feel comfortable and happy at the salon and couldn’t think of a better place to go for a male haircut that isn’t just your typical Essex chop.

Paul really puts in the work at the shop and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. A place that is reliable and a place to always come away happy with the end result!

OMG I’ve found a hidden gem in Leigh on Sea! I travelled from London and it was certainly worth it. I have very tight curly hair and I’m always apprehensive getting my hair trimmed or cut. Reece did an amazing cut and gave me the style I visioned.
I would highly recommend Reece for cutting Afro hair of all textures. He is very knowledgeable and understanding.

This was the first time I visited chopp and it won’t be the last Reece transformed my hair from a complete disaster yellow blonde to a beautiful bronde/balayage-ish he is one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever had and the others in the salon are extremely friendly and welcoming I will probably have a few clients for them after this. Best haircut as Paul knows exactly how I like my hair. He always has great suggestions too and takes time to ensure I am happy. The new products being introduced sound amazing and I will be trying them out.

I’ve been coming to CHOPP for about 6 months now. As always I had brilliant service in what is a lovely relaxing salon. Leah is my regular stylist but have also had Reece and Ophelia when Leah wasn’t available. There’s a lovely vibe in the salon and I’ve always been more than happy with the cuts and colour I’ve had. This has included a complete colour correction and restyle. Friendly and professional service which I cannot recommend enough. I also like the sustainability element that the salon is championing. Since the time iv been getting my haircut from Paul iv never been happier with the way I feel about my hair. Paul, along with the other stylists in Chopp don't just cut your hair, they know exactly what's best for your type hair. They go above and beyond any expectations you might have for a Top quality hairdresser. Worth every penny you spend in there because you and your hair would have never felt so clean, fresh and healthy. I have been coming to Chopp for about 18 months now and am never disappointed.
From the first appointment Reece took the time to understand what I wanted and that first cut was exactly what I wanted despite me being unable to quite articulate it!

The reception is always friendly, the staff can’t do enough for you.
