Travelled from Newcastle upon Tyne to Loughton & London.
Stumbled across Hob Salon and decided to book an appointment with Holly.
Hair is auburn, fine and lost it’s corkscrew curls.
Holly listened to my concerns and was passionate about helping me and really understanding my concerns with my hair.
She gave me fantastic advice and made me feel important. I had a treatment put on my hair, a great head massage and a wonderful trim and blow dry.
Holly put body into my hair and did not give me flat hair.
She advised on where we should go from now with regards to treatments, regular trimming and also recommended ponytail plastic curly bands for my hair - not sure of the name of them. Basically, they are much kinder on hair. We both agreed tying hair up for sleeping would be kinder for my hair giving it’s condition..
For the first time in years, I felt like a hairdresser wanted to be a part of the plan to help me with my hair.
Been a long time since I have been to a salon, there was 2 ladies who provided me with an excellence level of service they were Chloe & Kimberley When you walk into any Hair/beauty Salon you can feel quite intimidated as I have done in the past, but Kimberley & Chloe was brilliant providing a very comfortable excellent service

Billy is the best hairdresser I have ever had. When I decided to cut my long hair for the first time ever last year, he styled an asymmetric bob which was so fantastic strangers used to ask where I had my hair cut. The service in the salon is consistently excellent,. Shelly has also given me a brilliant blow dry in the past. I really recommend this salon.
I’ve been with Hob many years and never have anyone else but shelly. Absolutely fabulous can’t not praise her enough. Disappointed when a young man was allowed to this have his hair cut even though he refused to wear a mask.Sitting next to me. No mask please leave. I’m a paramedic and I’m trying to save the NHS. It should be made quit clear on the door and at time of appointment. No mask no appointment, Appreciate exemptions but these are very few and they do carry a dr exemption for you to see.

I have a contract for colour so would welcome the blo dri contract being reintroduced ....would make for a simple and holistic Hob experience.

Jess is very experienced colourist and listens to what customer wants. I have been going to HOB for years and have always had good friendly service. It is not busy so social distancing easy. All staff wear ppe at all times I felt very safe. You are charged 5 pounds extra for your own disposable cape and towels which I think is excessive. Other than that very happy

Loved the end result, staff were kind and helpful.
My only criticism is that some salon staff didn’t wear masks and the visor they were wearing was sat on top of their head.
All extremely clean and careful with regard to covid 19. Still a friendly and relaxing service.
Shelly has kept my hair looking great for several years now. Very friendly and professional service. Couple of things would improve the service (1) Apparently the option. of having a contract is stopping; this is a terrible move, as is it a convenient system and I will lose the 1 in 5 free haircut. (2) the massage chairs are years old and barely work, they really need replacing.
Billy’s professionalism shines through always. His attention to detail and talent you instantly know that your going to walk out feeling great.
It’s a very different experience these days but as usual Mckenzie’s welcome was great and Kay’s blow dry was beautiful ?
Shelley is a brilliant stylish and gives the best blow drys I have ever known. She really takes care of every strand of hair and makes you look like a million dollars.
Jess is the best colourist I know. She always gives 1000% of her attention and gives the best advice on colour. She is an amazing person.

Kelly is a fantastic colourist who is honest, patient and genuinely cares about the service she provides her clients. After moving out of the area I tried finding someone else I was happy with but in the end gave up and came back to Kelly!

I had an amazing afternoon having my 1st real outing since lockdown. Totally looked after in an immaculate environment. My stylist was as lovely as ever and made a huge effort to engage with me even with face coverings. All of the staff where friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend HOBS and will be back soon.
