I had a wonderful experience at Chapter One. Lovely salon and friendly knowledgeable staff. My routine hair cut felt like a special treat

I am new to the Haddington area and my daughter goes to the Newtongrange salon and said how good they are. It's always a bit of a nervous time going to a new hairdresser but the staff are so lovely and James put me at my ease and talked through what i wanted. The massage chair when i had my hair washed was fab as was the massage after. My long overdue and mess of grown out haircut was expertly cut back in to my pixie cut, which i love. Definitely recommend this salon. Relaxing, clean and calming.

Last minute decision change of hair style and the online booking system facilitated this beautifully! James listened and executed my wishes perfectly without any fuss. 10/10. This is my 3rd time visiting Cameron and received another great cut. I enquired about hair colour options and her advice/help was invaluable, giving me a number of options and doing a patch test right then. It’s been a while since I have felt so comfortable and happy with my hair stylist and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Walked passed a shopping window in Haddington, the Covid-19 reflection told me I needed to do something with that thing on my head. Asked for availability then and there and they could help within 5 minutes of COVID precautions. Thank you all

Beautiful salon lovely staff. Absolutely fabulous experience felt in very safe hands with expert advice for severely colour damaged lockdown hair came out with beautiful smooth professional long Bob.

First time to Chapter One and certainly won’t be my last. All staff were attentive and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere within the salon, the massage chair also helped with this!! James explained exactly what he was planning to do with my hair and made an excellent job of my colour, highlights & cut. Products used were were lovely and smelled amazing.

James is a fantastic hairsylist and always makes me feel like an individual, listening attentively. Would definately recommend this to others as a wonderful experience.

My hair and color are so fab that I would not ever dream of going anywhere else. James takes the time to really listen and explain what he thinks would look best and he is ALWAYS right!!! Random people stop me to comment on my color.

The Salon itself is beautiful - so stylish and airy. I really wanted to go for a change (which is very unlike me!! I’ve had the same hair forEVER) - James talked me through everything and I just left him to it as I trusted him and WOWEE - I absolutely LOVE IT. So beautiful and modern - it has really changed my whole look. James was super friendly and chatty and my experience so lovely and relaxing, not to mention the massage chairs - you could easily fall asleep in them. My whole experience was so lovely, me time at its best. Haddington has its own little piece of luxury. Really went out of their way to try and fit me in for an appointment. Salon is beautiful and Cameron did a fantastic job of a re-style cut. All staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I absolutely love hair cut days. The salon is interior goals, every single member of staff is so genuine and welcoming and James is an absolute hair wizard! I feel like at nearly 30 years old I’ve finally found my hairdresser for life! Couldn’t be happier :)

It was such a treat to return to the salon and have James cut and colour my hair! What a difference it makes! I also had the gloss treatment which made my hair shine in the sun. As always the head massage was sheer bliss too, it’s so relaxing! Looking forward to my next visit.
