I had a very disappointing experience using hair and co for the first time. Before my appointment I had called in to book and pay a deposit. This deposit was £40 and I was advised that on the day I would be paying £85 after the appointment which I have in writing.
On the day I arrived and the stylist started doing my hair. Throughout the appointment more clients arrived and the stylist had to split her time between myself and other clients. Eventually, having to call other workers in the hairdressers to come and help her with my hair.
When my appointment was finished I went to pay my agreed remaining £85 and this is when I was advised it would now be £108 even though I had written proof of the agreed £85. The reason for this was due to an extra product used in my hair, which I was not advised on, asked if I would like this product used or agreed to use this and pay the extra money. I had no choice but to pay the extra rate I was given.
When I left the hairdressers I also realised that my hair was cut to two different lengths and this was visibly noticeable. The colour we had agreed on was also not the same and there was no communication throughout the process about the difference. I had asked for balayage which would be my natural brown colour with blonde throughout however the top of my hair was a ginger/copper colour. If the colour process I had asked for could not be reached I feel I should have had communication on this, instead I feel like the stylist just hoped I wouldn’t notice it was different. I can only put all this down to the fact the hair stylist was trying to do more than one client and eventually there was two different people working on my hair.
I am very disappointed in the service I received and the lack of communication throughout my appointment. I would not recommend this salon to anyone else and will not be returning.
