Fanatics service for my first Medusa haircut. Stylist gave my bob an overhaul correcting a previous cut from another salon. I left feeling very happy. Everything about my experience was great from the initial greeting, to hair wash, refreshments & styling where the stylist made sure he spent time understanding what I wanted before he started. Lovely salon with a welcoming & relaxed atmosphere

Really battled to find a good hairdresser until now. Ryse the stylist took such care in getting to know what I wanted, gave a gorgeous head massage and really made me feel fabulous. People skills are just as critical to being a good hairdresser as technical knowledge, and I'll be returning for both!

I had my hair done with bryony! It was the first time in my life getting my hair dyed and it was amazing!!! She was super sweet and did the best job! Couldn't be happier!! Plus she is still a student hairdressers, so it was a bargain for first class service. Thank you ^^

I arrived a little to early but it was fine, I was made feel relaxed and the staff where very friendly and helpful. Ryse cut my hair i couldn't have asked for better cut as I had a bad experience with a barber before. I would definitely recommend this hair salon to people in future.

I thought the hair cutter was very nice but she didn’t really do what I asked.
I asked if my hair could be thinned out, she didn’t. I asked for an equal length all round and one side is longer than the other. Not happy at all.

I did not get enough attention from the person who was responsible for the perm as she had another client the same time.

Marnie has looked after my hair for years and today we went rouge and cut my hair short. I love it and so happy with results as been unwell recently. Marnie cheered me up and lifted my spirits. It was a great way to spend a Monday morning and I felt happier and healthier as I left the salon.

I’ve been getting my hair coloured here for quite a while now and I’m never disappointed! marni my hairdresser had been colouring my hair bright red for a while now and I decided to go black/brown like Kim Kardashian’s hair and that’s exactly what I got. I absolutely love my new hair colour all thanks to marni. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Madusa salon they are 5*star professional’s at what they do!! ❤️

This is the second time I have been to Medusa and the second time Bryanay has cut my hair. The results are amazing, I'm so happy with my cut. The salon is clean, bright and the staff are friendly. Great place and I highly recommend it.

I can’t thank Kate H enough for giving the hair I always wanted. Soft bangs, soft layers made me look so incredibly in tune with the summer months. She was great at making me feel comfortable, as well as advising me on the approach I should take for my hair. Will definitely be back!

I've been going to this place for years now and the staff could not make you feel more at home.... everybody is smiling and the other day when I went in I was 10 minutes early I was offered a lovely icy cold beer.

I had a nightmare with a different salon and turned to medusa desperate for help. Jo worked her magic and colour corrected me back from a horrible streaky mess to a beautifully natural looking brunette. She clearly knows what she's doing and she's also got a great manner about her. I've finally found my hair dresser. Will only be coming back here from now on. I could not recommend this salon highly enough!

Love my appointments with Jenni so much! She really makes the effort to get to know my hair and find the right style for me. I always leave the salon feeling so fab and always get compliments on my hair. I absolutely would and do recommend her to my friends.

First time having my hair cut by Bryanay at bread street and I loved it. I'm very nervous when getting my hair cut and she listened to what I wanted and put me totally at ease. Also her head massage is to die for. Looking forward to the next time.

Had a great experience with Kate, love my hair!

Between my natural roots and my blond ends there was a light brown transitory section. It could be nicer if there were few slight sun kissed golden blond touches on this bit. I explained all that I wanted to Fraser first. He told me to book an appointment for highlights, which I did. Then, I also explained this to the girl who was in charge of my hair. She suggested balayage. I said sure. However, she wanted to cut bits and pieces from my hair to see how my light brown lifts up. I did not want her to cut it randomly. So, I told her I’d rather not risk it before travelling if she wasn’t sure. I could also not get anything done that day, it was totally fine. Yet, she got an idea: "natural highlights" and she was sure of achieving what I wanted with that. The result was a disaster. She confirmed it’d look golden yet still gave me white ash white stripes all over my head. I wanted slight touches yet she gave me radical full blond. I wanted naturally blended slight golden touches yet I ended up with very contrasted ash stripes all over. It looks like a ZEBRA. I wanted something low maintenance so I wouldn’t need to touch up my roots often and can enjoy a regrowth. However she colored very close to the roots without gradient so I will need to go and color the roots very often. Although I objected previously, she still bleached ends to show off the product called WellaPlex resulting my ends to be more damaged than before. Also, because the talking took longer than expected she gave me a half head. She was okay with me getting out with the back of my hair being so different from the front. More importantly, when I showed that the result showed me they questioned my integrity.

They finally decided to pay attention to what I wanted because they are a « reputable » salon. They did not charge me for the bad result but told me they’d charge me for the fixing. Yet my hair is so damaged not only on the ends as it used to be but now also on the roots. I am not too sure whether they will manage to fix overall...

My stylist did not really listen to what I wanted. I asked for layers and brought pictures along. She quickly cut my hair in basically one blunt layer saying it was better for the look of thickness, then spent the rest of the time styling it. I trusted her judgement but, without styling, my hair looks very basic and boofy. I don’t have the time to style it everyday. I was most upset at the fringe she cut because it was too long, nothing like what I wanted and even when I asked her to do it shorter like I asked she insisted it was better long. One of the main reasons for getting my hair cut was to stop the waves of my hair from being widest around my cheeks and the fringe would have only added to that. I am very disappointed.

I have been on the look out for ages for a hairdresser who would take the time to understand what I was trying to achieve but also provide direction. I have found this with Sarah from Medusa. My first visit to the salon on Bread Street and couldn’t be happier with both the colour and cut. I went for blonde balayage instead of highlights and a shorter bob. I’ve now got a hair do that’s stylish but should be much easier to style on my own. Thank you to Sarah who was awesome.

I was in the salon for the hair and makeup package as reccomended by Mary. It was my first visit to the salon and really enjoyed my experience. Salon itself has a lovely busy vibe with a great playlist. Everyone was smiley and busy busy. I thoroughly enjoyed my complimentary glass of wine.

Ryse was so knowledgable and gave me lots of suggestions of what I could do with my hair since I had no inspiration myself. He explained all the products and why he was using them. He was very bubbly and friendly and I even got a fast track lesson on how to use Instagram. He went above and beyond and even offered to loan me his personal comb for the night to ensure my hair stayed perfect. My hair was gorgeous and a style I’d never had before. It stayed glossy and bouncy all day/night.

Ingrid was equally as lovely. She spoke to me as I was getting my hair done to get a feel for the style of makeup I’d like. She was very warm and chatty and managed my expectations very professionally. She made sure that I was 100% happy with the work and made me feel comfortable. My makeup was beautiful and stayed put all night. I got lots of compliments.

Very neat cut but was not really what I wanted. Asked for length to be kept at the front and got the opposite. A bit disappointed, but will be back as all my other cuts have been great and the service is great.

Wouldn’t usually leave a review but I was over the moon with how my hair turned out so I had too. Ryse worked a miracle and gave me exactly what I wanted and managed to make my hair looking new in great condition!! Would recommend him and Medusa to anyone

Mary did an amazing job. Had been to 4 previous places to get a trial for my wedding spray tan and not happy with any of them. Explained to Mary what I wanted and was the best spray tan I have had by far. Thank you so much Mary for making me feel so lovely for my big day.

Love my cut and colour. Very nice modern salon. Ashley was very friendly and took lots of time to understand what I wanted and then explain how she would go about it. I've never been so happy with a colour, would recommend balayage for blondes.
