Excellent! Getting prepared for the possibility of chemo and Marishka took the time and gave advice on gradually shortening my hair. She did a brilliant job and I love the cut. Not too drastic and a similar style to what I had. Really pleased.

Will definitely be returning. All staff were welcoming and helpful, nice atmosphere in the salon and everything was clean. Appointment on time even though it was quite busy.
Charlie, the senior stylist listened to what I wanted and was confident making suggestions as to how to achieve it. Polite and friendly but not overly chatty. Very pleased with the cut.

Kate was knowledgeable and professional. She was able to advise me on what colour and cut would best suit me. It didn't feel sloppy or rushed like it can in some salons. I'm really pleased with the result and it felt nice to be valued and for Kate to genuinely care about the finished service.

Visited in an ‘emergency’ so first time. Very good part was Charlie - did a really good job. He was interested in my job and engaging . Thank you Charlie. Compared to my usual place , the other parts of the experience were a bit disappointing. I’m an more mature customer so forgive me but I’ll be honest . Wasn’t one dedicated front of house welcomer. The front desk seemed to be an ever shifting , slightly chaotic looking area. My usual place has a recognisable front of hose face , with excellent customer skills and that one key initial contact from her makes that place . In fact , the overall feeling was a chaotic mass of folk tripping over each other because of the central aisle . The space doesn’t feel best planned . I was seated next to a kitchen area which was open to the customer side so could see all the dirty dishes , contents of the fridge etc. .Very unusually , I wasn’t offered a drink by anyone on arrival while waiting, nor when I had my hair cut. I cant remember the last time that happened in a salon to me - it’s so standard practice. Curiously , some folk had coffees but I felt I shouldn’t ask , because the girl who was serving, was running around rushed off her feet. Sorry , I’m really not wanting to be unduly critical but the sinks for hair-washing were really uncomfortable because of quite a sharp and narrow rim. For a man with a 17” neck mind you. I’ve not experienced this before however. Lastly , as a professional person and team leader , a bit of a bug bear of mine ! - saw several staff fixing their hair in the mirror and sorting make up things. This gave a really unprofessional image. My staff do personal things in the staff assigned spaces and the business spaces are for business . I hope this feedback comes across as helpful and not attaching in any way.

Really love Medusa, have been a client of Sarah, kate, Lorraine and now Marnie. I’m so impressed by the can-do attitude and if they can fit in clients and be so flexible. The service and results are so consistently perfect, I keep returning, recommending and enjoying the product.

Since relocating I tried alternative nearer to home. However, disappointing results make the effort of returning to Charlie T Medusa, Bread Street, worth the effort. He is a perfectionist and works hard to ensure I get the results I want. Very easy to talk to.

The salon is gorgeous inside and feels bright and modern. Ciara did an incredible job on my hair and cut it perfectly! She was lovely and chatty for the whole time and even discussed with me how I'd like my hair finished, offered a few different options and took her time styling it after the cut was finished. I had a great time at the medusa salon in bread street, I can confidently say I finally found the perfect salon after years of trying different hairdressers around Edinburgh! The haircut is perfect, exactly what I was hoping for and my stylist was precise and professional and I am super happy I trusted her advice on the haircut. The salon is perfect, it's stylish, sparkling clean and bright, I'll definitely be back!

This Saturday I had my nails and my hair done and I am really impressed. I use this salon for an year now, (after was recommended by a friend who had a balaiage done by kirsty) and I am always happy to return. I won't ever go anywhere else. My hair was never in a better status. Kirsty's work is just wow each time xx

Love my cut. Everything I asked for and more. Really relaxing head massage and such friendly staff.

After box dying for a while I came in to get my roots covered and see if I could get lighter bits throughout. Thought it might be impossible considering how dark my hair is but Marishka was great at offering her advice and the options available - really happy with how it turned out!

Marnie is great at recommending what would suit me in terms of colour, cut and maintenance. The next day, I always get complimented for my new style.

After donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust (for which Medusa waived the cost of the haircut) Ellie (12) has been growing back her hair. Each time she goes to Medusa Colin treats her to great chat and a trendy haircut. She was especially pleased with today’s cut...uber cool and really suits her. Super friendly salon with award-winning stylists. I’m a total convert too - having seen Colin, Charlie and Sarah in recent weeks. Medusa- exactly what a salon should be. Friendly, Funky and Fabulous!

I love getting my hair done at Medusa Bread St. I had very bad experiences at other hairdressers in the past but Medusa is different to others. They take customer service very seriously and it shows in its staff. Kate not only does my hair; she offers advice on products snd hair care, and listens to my random conversation with a smile. I’d highly recommend her to anyone wanting their hair colour changed. A year ago my hair was her black and now it’s super blonde (and healthy!). Thanks, Kate!! X

The salon is immaculate and staff are lovely. The prices are quite high but the quality is definitely worth it. Kate always does exactly what I want and my hair looks great for longer.
