I’ve been visiting this salon for around 15 months now as a client of Lauren’s who is a great stylist. A business that gets it right with lovely hardworking staff. The Price list is a bit toppy considering the location but the convenience of late nights, Sunday opening hours & easy parking makes it worthwhile.

My appointment didn’t go to plan today, but Aimee still took her time and made me feel like my visit was still worthwhile, and came away feeling much better than I went in. I can only say very good things about Aimee, she is supportive and brilliant at what she does!

Had my hair blow dried by Niamh this morning, not only does she style really well but she gives a fabulous head massage when shampooing and gives first class client service. She’s friendly, helpful and makes great tea. Thoroughly recommended

So meticulous- Sian takes great care in her work. Sorted out those pesky splits in my thumbnails. Finished effect great and you cannot see the join. A great job! Thank you.

I had my hair done by Lindsey and honestly I’ve never loved my hair so much it was better than I could ever imagine. I cannot thank her enough. She was so attentive and made sure she fully understood what I wanted.

After a successful consultation and skin test, yesterday I had a colour correction carried out by Charlotte. I was made to feel very welcome and "at home". I was offered drinks throughout the whole of my appointment. Charlotte discussed with me her plan of action before she got started, what products will be used throughout and methods she'd be using. Her friendly and bubbly personality was infectious and she's a real hair wizard. She has taken me from a dried out, brassy copper colour to a lovely honey blonde. Even with use of lots of bleach, my hair feels fantastic after her recommendation of using the Wellaplex treatments. Charlotte also recommended a shampoo and conditioner suitable for my hairs needs, which I purchased at the salon. I can't wait for my next appointments and to achieve the end goal colour. Highly recommend a visit.

I went in for a consultation last Friday with Charlotte. All of the staff were bubbly and friendly. I was offered a drink and made comfortable. Charlotte took her time to talk through processes and what will be best for my hair going forward. Can’t wait for my appointment

Charley did my hair for my first ever visit at Avant Garde SMQ. I absolutely love my new hair, and she recommend some good tips and an amazing heat protector which I then brought at the salon. The service was lovely, I highly recommend Avant Garde- I will definitely be back!!

This is a very bright, clean and welcoming salon. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable. Lauren did a full head of foils for me. Great result. I am planning on growing my hair out and Lauren has put a plan in place to work toward this goal. She is a fantastic listener and I am very confident in her hairdressing skills.

Charlie always does an amazing job on my hair. Today I had a tiny trim but my hair is back to being bouncy and glossy again. Also her blow drys are actually like being in heaven!

We walked in and the salon could fit us in right away. Really friendly team. Stylist went through photos with my 10 year old daughter regarding styles. My daughter loved it, they were so good with her. She thoroughly enjoyed her hair wash and massage and was supremely looked after. Great result and we couldn’t be happier.

The service was great, very professional and it felt like a real treat. Unfortunately the gel has peeled/flaked on a couple of nails after 2 days but I would still consider going here again in future.
