I would select a stylist, but I wouldn’t know where to start given 4 different hairdressers had to attempt my hair. My hair is naturally light brown, yet is naturally ombréd and I have done my own highlights such that it mostly looked blonde. The roots grew out so I asked for these to be touched up with sun-kissed blonde highlights. After a 4 hour appointment, I left with grey hair. The toner, by no exaggeration, left me literally grey and distressed. I phoned up and booked an appointment for the next day to fix it, which I told would be easy. Obviously not. A ‘half hour’ appointment turned into 3 hours, and it became more grey than it was initially. This was the most traumatic experience of my life. I was originally told to wait until an appointment on Tuesday, but in distress I refused, and after trying 3 different toners, they finally offered to wash out the toner (this was an option from the off?!!). This washed out most of the grey, but never returned my self-dyed golden blonde tips. This has put me off hair dye (and going to the hairdressers in general) for life, and I will continue to self dye my hair, and, worst cade scenario, return to light brown hair.

Took my 13 year old daughter for a restyle today with Emily. Really friendly and attentive. Excellent haircut - no colour today as it was for my daughter but Emily is a superb colourist too as she’s done my sons hair. Can’t recommend enough.

The salon is very welcoming with a great ambience, I have to compliment Luke on listening and advising about my hair, best big blow dry i have had in years ! Also, what like to mention the hair wash and mini massage so relaxing !! Definitely worth the visit can't wait to do it all again.

I came in knowing I wanted something different with my colour, Lilly went through different options on what would suit, without going drastically different. She listened to what I wanted and walked me through everything step by step. I don't know much about hair etc, so it was nice to have someone explain it to me! I felt so relaxed and treated whilst I was there. Great experience, will definitely return!

Luke did a brilliant job with my hair today. He gave me the perfect colour and cut.. I’ve suffered from hair loss recently and he did an amazing job at blending in the regrowth. Also couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming if he tried!

I’ve been having my hair done with Sammy for 2 years now and am always happy with the gorgeous results. She knows everything about colour and gives great advice, which I am always happy that I followed.

I came in today for the first time having had an absolute hair disaster! Chloe put me at ease and talked me through what needed to be done and reassured me throughout!
Gave me a brand new colour (which I love) and a fabulous cut! I’d highly recommend her and a massive thank you!

Niamh was so lovely, first time at a salon in a long time, I explained what I wanted with my colour and was apprehensive about getting my cut as stylists normally just become scissor happy. Niamh was great throughout with the colour and also regarding the cut she understood my concerns and did exactly what I asked. Couldn’t have asked for someone better today. Highly recommend the salon and Niamh as a stylist.

Absolutely love having my hair done here. The salon has a lovely friendly vibe and the staff are great. I get my hair done with Ella and she is fantastic! She always makes me feel so relaxed during my visit and looks after her customers brilliantly.

From the get go all the staff were just so friendly and welcoming. The salon itself is always really nice and very clean!

My hairdresser is Chloe G and she will literally go above and beyond to get your hair looking how you want it to look! She’s got great chat & She 100% knows her stuff when it comes to hair. On top of that she’s really attentive I.e, always making sure you have a drink and that you’re comfy!

This was my first time visiting Avant Garde and I could praise it more. I had a Brazilian wax with Sian who is lovely and very professional. The wax was speedy and reality my pain free (how pain free can a wax be really ;) ?) it was such a great experience I booked my next appointment there and then ! Thank you Sian!

Lucy was an absolute gem ! My hair was absolutely amazing!!!! She knows her stuff and colour! If in doubt about your hair and want to change it she’s absolutely your girl to do it. I’ve been to the top places such as Henley on Thames and London but by far the best overall. Amazing and so sweet, kind and the experience at the salon was lovely!!!!! It’s not about the cost but the quality which you will absolutely get. Very, very satisfied and thank you and much appreciated x
