really friendly and i am in love with my hair

I usually range through all the brightest colours I can find but where I’ve been through most of them I left the colour up to Rihanna. We discussed what was possible to do on what I already had so my hair stayed in a good condition because it was previously bleached.
I couldn’t be happier with what we finished with. It feels soft, it’s shiny and the colours came out so nicely. I’ve given her full control and choice over my next colour when I come in again

I can’t recommend Carter & Shields enough. The salon is really smart, the girls are all lovely which makes for a great atmosphere and (most importantly!) Elle has done the most amazing job on my hair. I have honestly never been happier with it!

The salon is modern and bright. Everyone very friendly and welcoming.

Very friendly staff and excellent service

Had half head highlights with trainee Isobel today, lovely salon, felt very welcomed and looked after. Isobel communicated with me to make sure I was happy and comfortable and has a lovely cup of tea, love my new colour, returning next week for a haircut, new style

There aren't enough words to describe what an amazing service I have had from Jenny, Beth and Rhianna in preparation for my wedding. Rhianna has been looking after my hair for a long time now and has been amazing throughout all this time. Then, for the wedding I have had the pleasure of having my hair done up by Jenny and my makeup done by Beth. I am not one to leave a negative review but I went for a half balayage and regrowth and ended up blonde (my first balayage was done nicely - this would have been a top-up). I was simply told to wait a little and get used to it - and next time, come back for some darker highlights to correct the blonde (on my own cost, of course). I stressed the fact I did not like that it came out as blonde and I was told: this is what happens when you have a follow up after an initial balayage, you simply can’t have the clean balayage. I wish I would have been told this before and not guaranteed a different service, or I would have looked for a different hairdresser. Utterly disappointed for something that costed quite a lot. For £216 I was expecting better. I will need to pay more to cover the mistake.

Came to Carter and shields after hearing through my friend that they do beauty works hair extensions. After having been to other salons and just getting an okay standard of hair extensions, I had a consultation with bethany and she recommended the beauty works ultimate package. I have never been so happy with my hair! She gave me a very in depth consultation, my colour match is perfect and she explained how the package subscription works. I can’t wait for my next appointment with Jess for my unlimited blow dries!

I had Bethany and Rihanna and had the best time. They consulted perfectly and did exactly what I asked for, I will be back in a few weeks time for sure.

Honestly, I usually don’t like having my hair done, sitting for hours on end is always hard for me and I find my self clock watching but not any more... I didn’t look once!
I just had the best time with Bethany! Such a warm welcome, worked together to hatch a plan on how to tackle my tired looking hair and am over the moon with the results. Hair looks fab, I felt well looked after and pampered throughout and enjoyed the Prosecco to get me in the Christmas spirit! Shout out to Isobel also who gave the best head massage!

All the girls were so friendly, and I can’t wait to come back in the new year!

Jenny always does an amazing job of styling my hair, she has a fantastic eye for fashion, adapting that to provide a finish that looks great and suits the client. Carter and Shields are a modern, classy and elegant salon, a joy to be a customer.

I cannot thank Elle enough. Right from the moment of consultation and all through the appointment she absolutely understood and reassured me after a terrible salon experience. The end result is the most beautiful colour I’ve ever experienced. Her kindness and patience throughout for a big correction was overwhelming. I have found my forever hairdresser. All the ladies and the salon environment is one of the most friendliest and kindest Ive ever been to in 20 years. 100% recommend

Jenny and the other stylists are fantastic and my hair has never looked so good. They now cut & colour 3 generations of my family and every single time we visit, we leave with a smile
