Excellent hair cut.

What can I say other than… LOVE! My hair looks and feels amazing! Jenny coloured my hair to exactly how I wanted it, and Jess cut and styled my hair to perfection! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by Megan and was offered a refreshment, Jenny discussed colouring with me and different options, Megan washed and gave my hair a treatment and Jess cut and styled my hair, and the outcome was perfect. I have very fine hair which is difficult to treat but in my appointment today, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend and if you’ve not been there, you really should go! Thank you Carter and Shields ❤️

I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by the lovely Jess, she is friendly, helpful and understanding and immediately put me at ease. Jess listened to what I wanted doing and offered great advice for when I go back to get my hair coloured. All the staff at the Salon are lovely and really friendly. When leaving this review there was not an option to put in Jess’s name hence the review being in Rihanna’s name. I am looking forward to going back soon and I can not recommend them highly enough. 5*

Jess was amazing! She offered great advice with colouring my hair and achieved exactly the style I want from the picture I showed her! She continously asked if I wanted any refreshments and answered any questions I had. The whole team was very warm and welcoming even on a Friday afternoon/evening when I was the last customer!

I can not praise Elle enough, her skills are undeniably and my hair is the most beautiful it has ever been. Thank you so much for all you do for me and making me feel myself again. I love my hair. The atmosphere in the salon is always fantastic as all the team makes you feel welcome and listened to.

Jenny and Jess did my wedding hair and make up and it was amazing - I would give them six stars if I could! Jenny is my normal hairdresser, and I was so happy during one of my appointments when she mentioned they do wedding hair and make up. I booked in a trial and it was fantastic - she really listened to what I wanted, the look I was going for, what I didn't want, etc. On the day she made a few tweaks so the look was perfect and lasted all day - I really appreciated that since the trial she had been thinking about how to improve the look. I've not seen a wedding photo where I'm not overjoyed with how my hair and make up turned out. They also did my bridesmaid's hair and make up, and mother of the bride - both were so chuffed and looked incredible, and it was all done in great time so no stress on the day. Thank you again Jenny and Jess I really appreciate it ❤️

This is the only salon I keep coming back to, always come out loving my new cut.

I've had my hair cut by Jess today and also had my hair cut and coloured by Rhianna before, so now have experience of both an Apprentice and Senior Stylist - both have been excellent! The welcome you receive is very warm and the refreshments are always flowing. I feel well cared for and like my custom is appreciated, which is part of the reason I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The info provided on my hair colour and how to grow my hair healthily is spot on; the ladies really know what they're talking about and I have confidence in their advice. Already looking forward to my summer appointment!

Fabulous cut (by Jess) and whole head colour (by Florence) overseen by Rhianna to cover the re growth of my hair and to enhance the copper colour I had previously which was brighter than it was before. I absolutely love the cut and the new colour which is a warmer red with lighter shades in between. Thank you team. You’ve provided a fantastic service.

I'm a guy and I've had long hair for nearly 20 years. I've had so many issues and poor haircuts over that time and have been nervous and reluctant to get it cut Jenny made me feel confident from the initial email and I was completely sold upon meeting her. She voiced all the concerns I'd had over the years and talked me through the cut at each stage, explaining why she was cutting it like that. I'm extremely happy with everything, the salon was lovely, the head massage was great, all in all, would definitely recommend to anyone, but especially men with long hair!

Decided to go the salon didn't know what to expect. But the staff were lovely and very welcoming. I went for a full colour and cut and she did 5 star amazing job I'm so pleased jess was brilliant thank you so much I'm so happy with the results ❤️

Great service from all the staff who work there….I highly recommend and would never change, a goog all round hairdressers is hard to find.

Absolutely love my new hair! Had the colour done as well as tape extensions and I can honestly say it’s perfect! The colour match to the extensions is amazing and from start to finish the customer service was spot on! Thanks again- I highly recommend!! Xx

Had my first ever professional hair colouring today. Stylist was amazing with all the advice, made me super comfortable and the team are all so friendly, easy to talk to and laugh with. Rhianna is so knowledgeable when helping advise me on what I should go for, and even the apprentices seem confident. Fantastic all round

My first visit to Carter and Shields, i took advantage of the great nanokeratin special offer for October. Jess spent ages blowdrying my hair perfectly straight, very happy with it, I will be back!

Jenny oversaw the two young trainees Megan who coloured my hair (whole head colour) and Jess who cut and styled my hair (modern, soft and volumised bob hair cut). What a fabulous experience. I am thrilled with the autumnal colour and stylish hair cut/blow dry. I feel younger and up to date. The cut/style suits my face shape/skin tone and the colour just right for the season. I highly recommend Carter & Shields Hair Salon.
