I’m a guy with longer hair and was going to my local salon for the first time after growing my hair out. Andrew cut my hair I had some photos of what i’d like and described it to him and he honestly couldn’t have got it more spot on! it’s been a couple weeks and I still love it. the whole time there was an experience and the staff were super friendly and chatty I couldn’t recommend a place more.
John is a great hairdresser…I really like the way he colours and cuts my hair. He asks me how I’d like my hair styled and listens to the answer. Thanks John

I have been going to the salon for many years, and have always gone back after the amazing treatment I've gotten.
Some years back, I dyed my hair vivid colours (like red, pink, blue, purple etc) when living elsewhere. I went to a local hairdressers, and the stylist made some quite unkind comments, that made me feel stupid or that stylists would not want to deal with me if I had dyed my hair at home. This put me off going to any salon for 3 years, thinking that I would get the same treatment anywhere else.
Last year, I finally plucked up the courage to go to the salon again when I was back in the local area, and booked an appointment at the Glasshouse. All of the staff were so lovely and welcoming, I could have cried from the relief of not being treated like I was expecting. To top it off, I've now been back a couple of times for a balayage, as I am trying to get my hair quite a pale blonde.
My hair was very coppery at the start (since I believe the last colour in my hair before this was ginger), and my stylist Chelsie was very honest with what my expectations should be. She talked me through the process, and what her thoughts were based on what I wanted. I really appreciated her expertise and honesty, since I would rather leave with something slightly different (but lovely!) to what I was expecting than just going straight for what I've asked for and it ends up not quite how I imagined it. In my case, due to the coppery tones, I wouldn't be able to get a straight blonde right away. Instead she advised we do a colour with more different tones in it, so it also looks slightly more natural than what I had planned.
I am now so so happy with my hair. I keep looking in the mirror and just squealing! Thank you Chelsie and all of the Glasshouse team for your lovely service and kind words. Can't wait to see you all again!

I had a great first experience here at the Glasshouse. Emmie was lovely and great with my hair. I wanted my hair styled for a party. She put in my hair extensions and straightened my hair. It looked beautiful. Will defo go back
Had an appointment with John to curl my hair. Such a lovely guy with a great sense of humor. Did my hair in quick time. Result wasn’t perfect as my hair dropped but that is more my hair than Johns styling.
I just love the place atmosphere and the team of excellent professionals!

Find the salon very welcoming from the time you arrive at reception to being taken to your stylist. Always a pleasure to sit in comfort surroundings, offered a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a selection of magazines whilst waiting for my colour to take. All in all a lovely experience and highly recommend. Sandie

Really happy with my experience at the Glasshouse. Chloe was very helpful in my decision to have highlights as I had originally booked a root colour. She advised me very well and am really happy with the result. Would highly recommend Chloe and the salon.
The Glass House is one of those rare salons where you walk in for a trim and somehow leave feeling like you've had a minor life upgrade. It's warm, open friendly- and staffed by stylists who clearly know their craft.
Andrew, in particular, seems to possess an almost mystical understanding of my hair: what it's doing, what it should be doing, and how to coax it into framing my face like it actually likes me. I always leave feeling alive, confident, and slightly convinced he's some sort of hair whisperer.
