Just had my wig styled and hair cut today in preparation for chemotherapy starting next week. What would otherwise have been one of the many horrible experiences that cancer has brought me, was actually a really considerate, compassionate one. Having to think about hair loss especially in my early 30s is incredibly hard but Alice made this much easier, as well as cutting my hair much shorter (in fact I actually prefer my hair now and will be even more gutted for it to fall out if scalp cooling fails) but with the wig on standby I am ready for what is thrown at me, and will give me so much confidence. I would wholeheartedly recommend this salon for both wigs and hair cuts. Thank you so much - when my hair eventually comes back, you are now my salon (and stylist) of choice.

I had previously had KeraStraight on two occasions and did not think it was that effective and only lasted a few weeks.
The treatment by Alice was far superior in the results achieved. It is pleasant smelling, unlike Kerastraight, which is disgusting! Also by the time the smell fades so does the effect☹️

Megan was so meticulous and gave me a fantastic cut. All of the staff also bent over backwards to accommodate my little 7 month old that I had with me too, which was very much appreciated!

I needed my hair cut whilst Julia was away and Ross came to my rescue. Despite never having been involved with my hair before he listened carefully and trusted in his own ability. He did a grand job.

I cut my hair with Amal and I really loved it! She is such a kind and friendly person that took the time to ask me what I wanted. Amal is a very good professional and I really love my new haircut. From the beginning with the warm and friendly welcome from Lucy, and continuing with the professional work from Amal and finally with the nice talk with the owner Julia. All in all a great experience. Also, all the products that they use are really good! I recommend this place 100%. Such a great staff!

I have been having my hair done once a week for many months and my enjoyment of going every week has grown in spades! The atmosphere is always warm and encouraging and the team kind and together. Alice of course as my stylist is just fantabulous. A special lady.

I have had three hair cuts and colours now at Julia's salon. The attention to detail and excellence of the staff takes a lot to be beaten. Julia has had a salon in Guildford for many years and holds has a great reputation. Give the salon a try you won't be disappointed! Would thoroughly recommend.

I love my new haircut, it is perfect for me. Marcin new exactly how to make my hair and style look great! The products smelled heavenly. I loved the place too, calm, beautiful and free of nasty chemical smells. The whole service was brilliant from the start when Lucy, the lovely receptionist, booked me in. I will be returning soon. I finally found a salon that ticks all the boxes! Thanks

First time at the salon having not been to have my hair cut at one for 10 years (don’t by a friend at home) but everyone made me feel welcome and at ease straight away! Also lots of useful hints and tips to help keep my hair looking great in between cuts!

I had very dry and damaged hair and wanted to have lowlights put into my blonde hair and a trim. Alice did an amazing job. She was so gentle with my hair knowing it was very fragile. The colour of the lowlights and the toner is beautiful! I’m so happy and my hair feels healthy again! Thank you Alice!

First Time at JL today. Staff so friendly, every single member said good morning and smiled on arrival, and ensured I was being seen to. Marcin, well, what can I say? Honestly think this is the best haircut I've ever had. We discussed colour and style at length beforehand, I really think he cares about his craft. I've never had this attention to detail before. I had a wonderful experience in Julia’s Salon this morning. Alice cut my hair and listened to all my hair concerns, and how to cut it so that I would get the best result. The atmosphere is so relaxed and you never feel rushed. 10/10 from me

I went to this salon for a cut, blow dry and full head of highlights. Alice was my hairdresser and did an absolutely fantastic job, however, I was there for nearly five hours as she took quite a while to do my hair, which was fine as the results were worth the wait.

What was not so great was the fact that *****, decided to charge me an extra £20 because my hair took longer than anticipated, after I had paid for everything. I was told before that because my hair was medium length, the highlights would be cheaper, but ended up paying the price for long hair, which I thought was an utter cheek. ***** was very rude and did not really explain why she decided to charge me extra, which in itself is appalling as I paid £200 for my hair already at this point. As lovely as Alice was, the owner is awfully rude and getting charged extra for something that was totally out of my hands was disgusting customer service. Would not recommend her salon to anyone unless you are willing to pay an arm and a leg for mediocre service.

Having had previous bad experience elsewhere I was nervous about having highlights. Alice was amazing, she is lovely, easy to chat to and very professional. She did a fantastic job and am so pleased with my hair, which has never looked better.

Alice did a fantastic job on my hair. She was really lovely and easy to chat to. She understood what I wanted and delivered it. It was also clear she was a perfectionist and made sure she got it right. The atmosphere in the salon was lovely, the receptionist was friendly and helpful and I was given a nice coffee on arrival. I would definitely like to return here in the future.

I arrived at the salon feeling very welcomed. Beautiful Salon surroundings. Ross put me at ease and I had full confidence in him and he created the style and highlights I wanted. I didn't need to see the colour charts and he took on board the colour I didn't want to be!!! Fabulous hair wash and head massage! This is not always achieved by previous hair colour stylist. The highlights were put through finely. The coffee was great and the little glass. Perfect touch. What also was really important the colours use were as toxic free as you can be with courting no parabens. Wonderful experience. Slightly pricey but very fair as in the centre of Guildford.

Took my teenage daughter for a major restyle- almost waist length hair to very short. She was understandably anxious but Alice was very kind and helpful - really listening to what she wanted and was very happy to make suggested adjustments. Very happy with her new hairstyle. First time at this salon but will definitely be going back. A real 5 star experience!

Amal, having been trained by the master Julia! can do the best curly hair blow dry ever. If, like my daughters and me, you have curly hair and end up leaving the hairdressers - despite a perfectly good cut - with your hair a frizzy mess, search no longer and Julia/Amal can make your hair look like John Frida advert. Honestly! Great cuts too. Recommended

The lovely Alice immediately put me at my ease for my first wig consultation. In a private room my daughter and I were treated to pots of tea while Alice explained all aspects of choosing and caring for a wig. She listened carefully, was patient and sensitive to my needs, bringing out two wigs which were spot on. There was no rush, no hard sell and lots of good advice. I am absolutely delighted with the result and feel 10 years younger! Thank you Alice and all at Julia Lampard.

A very delayed review but I wanted to leave one to say thank you to Ross for doing such a fabulous job with my colour (it still looks great!) and Alice for a beautifully styled haircut. Both Ross and Alice I found to be precise and thoughtful in their approach and really listened to what I was trying to achieve. Lovely, calm salon and a great overall experience.

I was looked after by Megan and Julia. I am so embarrassed about my thinning and finally plucked up the courage to call. Well I am transformed, my hair is thin on top and now I really look like I have a full head of hair. I keep looking at it, I can’t believe it... I cried and they absolutely looked after me, It was the difference that made me cry. I really should have gone ages ago. A big thank you to Julia and Alice for getting my life back. Having had a bad experience with another wig supplier, I was a little worried but from the moment I entered Julia's salon I felt at ease. Alice spent time going through the various options and helped me pick the right one for me. Julia was able to style my wig there and then and to say that I was pleased with the result is an understatement. Although I live 20 miles away I will return to have my own hair styled when it grows back. Thank you again, now I'm ready to book a vacation.

This is my fourth time getting my hair cut at Julia Lampard and every time go I leave loving my haircut.
