I had a consultation with a man at the salon to talk about my options, prior to this I had a bad experience with a hairdresser that bleached my hair after i told her i wanted highlights, I decided box dye was too expensive in the long run to cover my hair so I decided to ask the hairdressers at toni & guy about what I could do. the best option they has was to strip my hair of my current dye and cover up my highlight disaster with a colour that's closest to my natural hair colour, which I loved that plan. what happened was when I turned up to my appointment for this to happened the hairdressers told me that plan wasn't possible because of how light my hair was and my only option was to strip the dye out of my hair and to dye my hair a light brown to match my roots so my hair would naturally grow out, I wouldn't have to keep dyeing my hair which I didn't want because I didn't want to keep dyeing my hair. I told her it really wasn't what I wanted, because it wasn't what the man said was going to be the plan with my hair. the hairdresser said if I didn't do it now nothing about my hair would change and that i might aswell give it a try, she showed me which colour with match my roots, i reluctantly said yes, they were rough trying to get my dye out of my hair which they didn't succeed in and i still had to pay for them trying & then they dyed my hair dark brown. i spent £100 for them to dye my hair brown, i could of gotten my hair dyed brown from a box dye and the red streaks are still in my hair shining through the brown. even though the man i spoke to kept trying to tell me i couldn't have this exact brown from a box dye. i could get this exact hair colour for £12 in a box dye they charged me £100 for not removing my hair dye and dyeing my hair dark brown a colour that's not my roots my roots are a dirty blonde. i can't believe i was stupid enough to let them do that to me and even after that they tried to get me to fork out even more money to put highlights in it to make it not as dark,

Leaon on top form as usual. Love the new colours. Hayley listened to my vague ideas, asked all the right questions and made sure I was happy at every stage of the cut. I have once again left with absolutely awesome hair. I'm not very good at articulating what I want but Hayley put me at ease and Leaon worked his magic. Full marks as always, Cardiff.

This was my first time in a Toni & Guy salon and I was more than impressed. Not only was it tastefully decorated, but the design layout created a spacious environment, while also giving the clients privacy. All the staff are very customer focused. Molly who washed and conditioned my hair couldn’t have been any more attentive or professional. Helen my stylist is simply fantastic! As a Vidal Sassoon devotee I didn’t think their quality of service, nor their quality of work could be bettered. I was totally wrong. Helens consultation was so in depth, she got to know me and my hair and worked with me to find out what best suited me. Helens ability is second to none and she proved she knows her craft. I have several issues with my hair, and only a well trained stylist has even been able to deal with them, and she did. Not only that, I left feeling like a very valued customer, to which I thank Helen and all the staff and look forward to returning again in 3 weeks time.

I'd been having my Haircut in Cardiff since moving from New Zealand in 2008. For me ( not liking change ) it was hard to stop going to my current stylist as now we lived 20 minutes out of town ( bought a house )...
Long story short ( ask Yasmin for details ) my wife encouraged ( persuaded ) me to look for someone else. I was nervous about this, again not liking change. I jokingly said to Yasmin " this is a job interview for you " we laughed it off but I was still apprehensive. From the moment I set foot in Toni and Guy Cardiff it was an experience that will keep coming back for more ( as long as Yasmin`s still there ( kidding, not ).
Happier than happy.

A lovely clean bright salon very friendly staff, offered a drink straight away Haley the stylist that did my hair was so cheerful very chatty and did a wonderful job on my hair all the people I know said it’s the best cut I’ve had for ages.its just a shame I don’t live in Cardiff so I can have my hair done more often.

Haven't been to toni and guy for many years, but now I remember why I used to go there! Great experience. Music a little loud for me, but I'm in my 50s! and the price prevents me visiting more than once every few months, but great cut
